warrenpeace
Force has infantry reporting up to its formation head and tanks that report up to different HQ. Does this mean that there will be no sharing of contact information between tanks and infantry in scenario? If tank is unbuttoned can it share info with nearby infantry?
YankeeDog
IIRC, friendly units within ~2 action squares of each other can share spotting info regardless of parent formation. I've never tested, but I think this does apply to an unbuttoned AFV and nearby infantry. Otherwise, the info has to travel up the chain to lowest mutual command node, and then back down again.
Kuderian
I have tested and infantry and tanks in in close proximity to each other will share C2 even if they are in different formations. This is a great way to help tanks spot infantry threats nearbye. Something I haven't tested though but am 99% sure of, is putting the parent fomations' HQ's next to each other to facilitate inter-formation C2 sharing. With the British, in particular, with their usually separate infantry and armour arms, I found these techniques very useful.
