This British doc tells that story through the eyes of D-Day veterans, event reconstructions, ordnance tests of several sorts, military historians and even a landing craft owner. You see the ground where the real SPR fight took place; see the rugged Normandy buildings, fences and more. You learn the actual events on which key aspects of the film hinged and understand, in the most poignant way, why the sole survivor rule was implemented and the effects it's had.
