winkelried
again these overlays are a real help. i think i get a factor 5 to 10 in productivity - in conjunction with the new road design tool a huge improvement would be to be able to switch between different overlays. e.g. by pressing 1,2,3, ... 9 to switch beween "special editor overlay 1...9.bmp" or just by cycling through the overlays. I normally use several overlays: a historical or modern map (elevations etc) and historical aerial fotographs (grounds, houses, roads ...) so switching between them would be cool
Chainsaw
Yeah, plus one on that one Im doing the same, map from google earth, a 1947 air recce photo and a 1944 map, switching between them with a single click would be nice
Pete Wenman
I'm not going to argue, and a better interface was the first thing asked for on the beta boards once we got to play with the overlays. (Which does not mean it will happen) Best stop gap I can offer is to align all images as layers within a "master map" and either add all the required elements to one layer, or save the layers individually and use each as an overlay in turn.
