German Assault Gun Uniform Textures

I noticed that there is a separate uniform texture for German assault gun crewmen, with the red-trim shoulderboards appropriate for assault gun crews. However, in-game, they are wearing white (or pink?) waffenfarbe. Is this a bug or modeled as intended?
