John Kettler
I was trying to find some bocage pictures last night, and that's how I found the Flames of War site, which is full of good grog stuff from a bunch of periods of the war. Every article has several well chosen pics, many of which I'd never seen, and the modders may lose their minds with all the stuff on camouflage patterns and doing object sourced lighting in paint jobs. I found the articles on wet Shermans and British armor markings in Italy to be particularly good. Regards, John Kettler

John Kettler
Michael Emrys, Just type "Flames of War" into Google. It'll be at the top of the search results. Briefings has the military history goodies, but there's so much more to see while on the site. Had I posted a link, I'd be in trouble with Moon! John Kettler
The more reading I do there, the more impressed I am. WW II unit groggery covering many units I never heard of before. Did know about the Goumiers and the Brandenburger Regiment, though. Downloaded one of the Intelligence Briefings and found it full of goodies, over and above the stuff directly related to the game system and scenario. John Kettler
Brother George just hooked me up with a real treasure. World War II Day By Day. The site is in German, but it will be of particular interest because it's got the German equivalent of TO&Es (KSTn. The site covers things like tactical markings, rank insignia, map symbols as well. Behold a sample of the goodies! Don't know whether this is the site owner's work or how the Germans did this stuff. AFV-G2 used to do something similar with silhoutetes for AFVs and soft-skins, coupled with a breakdown for the men. www.wwiidaybyday.com (Fair Use) K r i e g s e t a t 44 Panzergrenadierkompanie a (gepanzert) (freie Gliederung) K.St.N.1114a (gp) (fG) (1.8.1944) Offiziere Unteroffiziere Mannschaften Beamte a) Gruppe Führer K Kompanieführer (zugl.Kdt. u.
