Battlefront Repository Posted July 9, 2012 Share Posted July 9, 2012 The 53rd (Welsh) Division became operational in Normandy on June 27th, 1944 and took part in the rest of the Normandy Campaign. The 53rd Division saw action during the fighting around Caen, the Odon River, Evrecy, Hill 112, Mont Pincon and Falaise. Due to combat losses/manpower shortages, there was a re-organization of the infantry battalions in the division at the beginning of August 1944; the 158th Brigade (comprising the three Royal Welch Fusiliers battalions) had two of its battalions moved to other brigades, while taking on two new battalions.Part V Includes:160th Infantry Brigade (after Aug 4, 1944)6th Bn, Royal Welch Fusiliers4th Bn, Welch Regt2nd Bn, Monmouthshire RegtThis mod has several different elements that should allow the player to effectively model the units provided; this includes uniform items, vehicles and game interface.
