weapon2010
Would'nt Armor re-supply be in the scope of the game especially in long battles such as 2 and 4 hour battles?Trucks or areas holding he and ap shells?
akd
No. Tanks didn't typically run back and forth from the rear to front during the course of a battle. Once committed, they stayed committed until pulled off the line, typically overnight. If a tank unit ran low on ammo to the point of not being able to fight, they'd more likely be replaced by another unit rather than going back to rearm piecemeal. And it would be an unusual circumstance where using a full load of ammo in the course of a few hours did not coincide with an acute need for rest and repair.

What could happen in RL though, is that tank crews would shift some ammo from one tank to the other during a lull in fighting. Some armies also started to use armored ammo carriers during WW2, to bring ammo forward, but I think this was more or less limited to SP artillery. So this would be offmap for CMBN too.
womble
Did you really need to start a new thread for this when there's one only half a dozen posts from the top of the non-stickied threads? Really?
