tgra
Is it known yet whether the AI can set-up an effective Ambush? If it is then I'm not sure I want to know how it does it (I usually want to forget there's a computer involved) but how effective is it?
Guest Big Time Software
I haven't played enough to say either way, but both Martin and Fionn have been hit effectively by small groups of guys in critical places (like a road in the woods). If either of you guys see this post, feel free to elaborate. How the AI does anything is a mystery to all but Charles Steve
Moon
I can certainly elaborate on that. I have played a scenario showing the actions around "Abbey Blanche" (north of Mortain), which is probably one of the most famous ambushes set by the US during WWII (and certainly one of the most successful ones). I was playing as Germans and, frankly said, got kicked pretty bad. Since I had FOW on, I cannot really say if the AI was using the Ambush command or not, but one thing is sure - these guys held their fire until my guys were well in their killing zone.
