Paper Tiger
I've been having a look at Matrix Games' Command Ops: Battles for the Bulge and it sounds really good. I will download the demo to give it a try as soon as I've finished downloading a few files. I had a hard drive crash on me and so I'm having to redownload a few games from Steam etc. So, while I'm waiting, do any of you guys play this game, and if yes, what do you think of it?
zwobot
The Airborne Assault series games are very good operational level games. When I first found out about Highway to the Reich I was thinking: "How could I miss this game for so long". All in it is very enjoyable! The sentence "easy to play but hard to master" is 100% true for these games.
Paper Tiger
So far, VERY impressed by what I'm seeing in the demo. I see that they're developing an East Front version of the game too. This looks like it might be really immersive.
Agua
Panther Games title. Haven't picked up Airborne Assault in years, but I'll buy this bulge game on rep alone. I KNOW it will have fantastic ai. Those guys are really responsive to player feedback, too.
Paper Tiger
Apparently, it has a very good scenario editor as well. This could be a winning find. I've already got the wife's permission to splurge out the $80 to buy the two games in the series. I'll probably take the plunge tomorrow and have the thing to play over the Easter holidays.
Pinetree
Great game, Great UI, Awesome AI. They've also opened up the unit data so now everything is moddable. I managed to wangle a free copy of BFTB as I did the Google Earth tour but I still would have paid for it. The HTTR expansion is well worth it also IMHO.
