  1. For all of you guys wondering why the Bundeswehr is so reluctant to donate Bundeswehr Marder IFV's to Ukraine. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/puma-tank-failure-is-heavy-setback-for-germany-defence-ministry/ar-AA15qN6V One company of PzGrenBtl 112 was on exercise and all of its 18 Puma IFV's, that were upgraded to the newest Version Puma S1/Puma VJTF in 2020, failed within 8 days of training. The commander of 10. PzDiv explicitly mentioned that the Pumas were not exposed to heavy duty use. PzGrenBtl 112 with its Pumas was scheduled to take over the VJTF lead by 01.01.2023. Now it has to fulfill this role with its aging Marders. Conclusion: After 10 years in service and an extensive upgrade in 2020 which should bring the puma to a "war ready" state the Puma is still plagued by all kinds of Problems.
  2. I can't remember who was saying that the Russians should worry about the maintenance of their nuclear forces too. So, unsurprisingly, I present the first evidence that he was right. *edit: Twitter Link via Nitter as i don't have a Twitter account but still want to explore the high value content of Twitter https://de.nttr.stream/bad_moskal/status/1555427437944643584#m This thing looks like it was parked outside since its deployment. Maybe the Russians are masters of engineering and they invented some magic container that looks crappy from the outside but shields the rocket completely, so it stays in perfect condition, but i doubt it.
  3. Those thugs will get harfft again! In 1999 the German Troops marching into Kosovo were lead by Helmut Harff, known for his sharp remarks by his men who named the process getting harfft. While on the move into Kosovo he noticed that a Serbian unit didn't want to leave their position as agreed prior to the invasion, so he told them to leave within 30 Minutes. The Serbian commander tried to stall the timetable of the withdrawal. Harff replayed that it was not a discussion but an order and they had 28 Minutes left to leave. His short discussion with the Serbian commander was randomly recorded by AP news. https://youtu.be/C4USPAU3yEc?t=41
  4. Germany should send him to any negotiation. He will stare everybody into an unconditional surrender in short: - The Software of the PzH2000 was modified in a way that it allows remote support from Germany via virtual reality at the front line in Ukraine. - first 15 Gepards will be ready in June to guard important infrastructure - He mentions the logistical nightmare Ukraine currently has with all the stuff arriving and that NATO has to focus more on interoperability
  5. Nice insight. Everytime the "guests" of that numb nut Solovyov look intimidated to a point that, as soon as the cameras are of, the hot air venting **** in his shiny dress will beat the **** out of them.
  6. Interview with Inspector General of the Bundeswehr Eberhard Zorn on the delivery of the PzH2000 / Gepard and why its taking so long. In short: Regarding the PzH 2000, they focused on the 120 States of different errors of the system and how to remedy or circumvent them. The delivery includes ammo, spare parts and special tools. English auto translation works well so nobody should have a problem watching the full video if interested.
  7. LOL, what was Mr Duda thinking? As much as I hate the German inaction, why would Mr Duda assume that Germany would deliver hundreds of modern Leopards without proper negotiation? Is he really that naive or did he just saw a cheap way to get rid of scrape metal, get praised for supporting Ukraine and have hundreds of new tanks? Such behavior also plays into the cards of Ivan.
  8. At least you can be sure that nobody stole thermal imagery equipment or other stuff to bolster his paycheck. I guess all the Armata's went to the Finish boarder.
  9. @dan/california Roderich Kiesewetter says, that Scholz wanting Ukraine to lose the war by not delivering what Ukrainians want and instead offer stuff that is nice to have, but wasn't asked for by Ukrainians. To emphasize his claim he mentions the Gepard SPAAG. The Ukrainians never had the Gepards's on their list. They asked for IFV's and Tanks. The Gepard offer was made by the industry and picked up by the politics. He also mentions that 100 Marder IFV's and 100 Leopard Tanks are ready for delivery by the industry and additional 30 Marders could come from the Bundeswehr. One of the other Guests, Carlo Masala, says that the SPD and Scholz tried to protract the delivery of heavy weapons in fear of nuclear escalation until they were forced to deliver something, cause the rest of the world was already delivering too. He also notes that a part of the German government is paralyzed by the threat of nuclear escalation. *edit Basically there is that hazy mood throughout the show that parts of the current administration, Scholz and parts of the EU would go back to the pre war status with Russia as soon as possible and that this is the case for all the half assed proposals. Also noteworthy is the contribution by Jan van Aken from the "Die Linke", a Left wing party that is mostly known for its pro Russian politics, who says all the sanctions don't work as well as they should and that they are bypassed regularly. He says that in order to show real support for Ukraine, the EU can and should do much more to get independent of Russian resource delivery. Hope this helps.
  10. The Czech Republic will get 14 Leo 2's and one Leo2 ARV + 30 Day wartime ammo supply. I haven't read anything about Marder IFV's nor Leo 1's for a while. If the buildup for the attempted bridging was similar, one has to wonder why the casualties weren't higher. Time to send some C17's packed with old DPICM to Ukraine. So far we haven't seen this kind of munition in action, but with such a tight spacing between the vehicles, DPICM isn't really necessary I guess.
  11. Delivery of the first 15 Gepards including 59000 rounds could start in July said german MoD Christine Lambrecht. The crews will be trained by the industry with help of former Gepard crew members. The Czech Republic will get 14 older Leopard 2, 1 Leopard 2 based ARV and a 30 day supply of 120mm rounds as compensation for 20 T72 that will be sent to Ukraine. The Bundeswehr will train the Czech crews. source : https://augengeradeaus.net/2022/05/lambrecht-avisiert-der-ukraine-gepard-lieferung-ab-juli/
  12. Training of the Crews for the PzH 2000 should have started at the 9th May at the Artillerieschule Idar Oberstein in Germany but other than that i fear the "Zeitenwende" was warm words only. So far Germany only gave old stuff, remember the Strela 2. They were decommissioned in 2011 or 2012 and should have been scraped by now. And reading BS like the following lets you think that Germany is only interested to supply stuff if the industry benefits and Germany doesn't have to pay much. The Czech Republic will receive 15 Leopard 2A4 tanks donated by Germany as it supplies its own Soviet-era tanks to Ukraine following Russia’s invasion in February, the Defence Ministry said on Wednesday. The Czechs will also start talks with Germany on acquiring up to another 50 more-modern Leopard 2A7+ tanks in coming years. The donated tanks could arrive this year. https://augengeradeaus.net/2022/05/ringtausch-fuer-die-ukraine-tschechien-erhaelt-aeltere-deutsche-leopard-kampfpanzer/
  13. https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/uoydyg/russia_unveils_its_secret_weapon/ Beware of the Russian Terminator! In its current state i can only see one usecase and thats steeling pension cheques while disguised as elderly to drain money from Ukraine. Putin at least looks a bit wary
  14. Short Video from PzH 2000 testing by the Bundeswehr in 1997. I don't think such a rate of fire would be sustainable, but if some of the high ranking officers show up for a meeting once again, I would invest one barrel to get them out of the theatre.
  15. Yeah and with Ukraine switching to NATO equipment and knowing our ****ty politicians, this has the sour taste of indirect German economy aid only, so KMW could sell some more after the war has ended and save jobs in Germany... If I were serious about it, I would send some more and instantly order new ones. So much for the proclaimed Zeitenwende. Hope for you Ukrainians that they will find some more somewhere.
  16. For all you guys who use www.nitter.net, that is currently down, to avoid getting a Twitter Account, the Twitter privacy mess and age restriction, there are a lot more instances listed on the Git Hub site. Just scroll down to Live status. https://github.com/xnaas/nitter-instances
  17. Lol 12??? Doesn't make sens. The training will take a while and then they have the next logistical strain on them. Is there any purpose other then Germany showed its good will and a combat test on a larger scale? Wouldn't it make more sense to search for stored M109's, buy them and silently send them to Ukraine?
  18. Just a short addition to the Gepard to Ukraine. In 2020 Germany granted Qatar to buy 15 Gepard's, 16000 Rounds and spare parts. The Gepard's will be used as stationary defense in case terrorists try to strike the soccer world championship 2022 with drones. Looks like stationary defense of high value targets in Ukraine would be a good way to use them and free some assets for the front line or to grant additional cover of important infrastructure. Sadly the twitter thread is only in German. TL:DR The Gepard A2 had a 97% hit rate even vs small drones. The crew consisted of former Gepard Crew members of the Bundeswehr and employees of KMW. And a lengthy PDF of the first display in Germany in December 2017. https://www.fla2.de/_downloads/Katar-Vorgeschichte-final.pdf
  19. I would like to know how many of our politicans are heavily invested into this nord stream ****, or eye for a nice retirement job in one of the involved companys. Maybe Scholz had a clandestine meeting with Schröder, who should be tarred and feathered for his failings and him calling putin a flawless democrat years ago... Most of the politicians in Germany are rotten to the core, ambitious underachiever and see our democracy as a lousy self-service outlet.
  20. I did that virtually for you^^ quick and dirty setup meeting engagement in Steel Beasts 4.0: Leo1a5 with 105mm DM63 vs a T90S m2005 with 3BM42M (every 125mm APFSDS should be enough for the Leo1...) visibility 3000m first round frontal kill at 2940m with a DM63. I achieved multiple frontal first round kills between 2500 and 2900m. As soon as the T90 ist angled it gets easier + some terrain for an ambush and we can have a turret highjump contest. So i think the Leo 1 could work but you need experienced crews. Maybe we can send some retired leo1 crews from all over europe on a vacation
  21. Thank you for clarifying your Post. The lack of context in your first post lead me to completly miss the point. I was refering to the combination of patches.
  22. Please Sir, at least try to hide your racist attitude a bit more. It's not the first time you exhibit such behavior. This and some other examples like the 2 numb nuts that were interviewed by the BBC wearing SS Deaths head Patches and some BS about Odin or Thor + Azov and Aidar support the fairy tale tellers in the Kremlin.
  23. I hope the Russian Army has provided enough kits for the coming offensive in the east. source:
  24. I officially condemn Russian actions in Ukraine for delaying the CMCW Module! After finishing the 1979 US Campaign that taught me to value Starships especially as support for infantry, I thought I could jump right into defending Germany with a bunch of roaring Leopards but turned out to not be the case, cause those boneheads in the Kremlin decided to start a real war... so I took a break and recently bought CMBS and got my ass handed in the first missions... That new Stuff is so much more deadly and scary, and the battles run at a faster pace compared to CMCW. So Mr. Putin, I demand an immediate end to that war. You will have to fully compensate Ukraine and me for suffering your atrocities! You have enough internal **** to do. That are my max claims and I will definitely not step down. PS Thanks again @Haiduk, @kraze, @Battlefront.com, @TheCaptain and all you other guys for providing a deeper dive into all the things concerning this war! PPS @kraze I still dont think all russians are fundamentally evil but lets get back to topic before i get a vacation. Pah, I can still read the thread so i dont fear that! ^^
  25. This is the article i was referring to, released on 19.08.2014. Sadly in German only https://www.welt.de/vermischtes/article131363979/Der-Ort-an-dem-36-Tonnen-Panzer-zerlegt-werden.html The Puma deliveries were stretched over the last 8 years or so and in that period most of the marders were already gone.
