When I first moved to CM2, I badly missed the right click on screen menus from CM1 which seemed a much more elegant way of controlling the game. Also proper fog and mist.

The_Capt is one of the CMCW development team, so if he says that CM3 is a thing, then thats good enough for me. Hopefully we will get confirmation in part.2 of the '2024 year ahead ' thread soon.

Yes I can see that developments in drone warfare and use of precision artillery are making BS look a little 'old school'. Winter war 2,0 would be cool though.
Oh! nice to see CM3 is real too.

I think the only way around this would be to change the focus for the game setting. Have the expansion set in a fictional second front, maybe a invasion of Finland or Poland.
That way you can reuse any assets already developed and add a new faction. A lot more work but it removes the emphasis from Ukraine.
That or just make a new game entirely.

Re bought the CM1 titles on GOG awhile back to get my north africa and early east front fixes (only around £5.00 each). Finding CM1 mods online nowadays is a challenge.

Nothing springs to mind, recon scenarios are pretty thin on the ground, only one I remember was 'Cats chasing dogs'
in BN and that was U.S. versus Germans. Could be others though.

This project is starting to look very impressive (I can do without the gore personally). If he can finish it I will buy it.
Time for BF to look over their shoulders at the competion!

It may be worth pointing out that in the British army, up to 1871, officer commissions could be bought and sold, up to the rank of colonel.
Also, officer training at places like Sandhurst appeared to have been an optional extra rather than a requirement.
Doe's make you wonder how much military theory was considered back then, at least in the army - the Royal Navy was professionalised for much of its history.

Blender stuff is well above my pay grade.
Excellent mod by the way.
My Tommies now look properly equipped for combat.

Hi
Just measured the 'pig sticker' bayonet I have, its 25cm from back edge (where it joins the rifle) to the point.
Probably too late to affect the mod,but just for your information.

"normandy v210 market garden a .brz" contains .mdr files etc for British infantry including helmets.
Hope this is helpful.

Hi, new poster
Swingfire antitank missile system, fitted to the FV102 Striker and FV438 (based on FV432 APC). Will be interested to see how this will be implemented in game. Quote from Wikipedia:
"The name refers to its ability to make a rapid turn of up to ninety degrees after firing to bring it onto the line of the sighting mechanism. This means that the launcher vehicle could be concealed and the operator, using a portable sight, placed at a distance in a more advantageous firing position."
It would be exellent if you can replicate this ability in game.
Anyhow just glad to see British forces being added so quickly.
Thanks
