  1. Not sure how to digest this yet myself but it appears Musk is stepping on some toes at the pentagon at least ( and not in a good way ) https://www.cnn.com/2022/10/13/politics/elon-musk-spacex-starlink-ukraine/index.html
  2. To me - this strikes me as an opportunity of the century - literally - to remove Russia from the Big Boys table once and for all and put them into a position where they need to start trading off nuclear material again to be a part of the Modern Global economy . The US should be using this opportunity to reduce the capabilities of Russia Permanently .
  3. One attempt at an explanation for this I have seen is Wagner keeping its forces in one area and seemingly "attacking" - but keeping them away from Kherson and Kremina . They don't want to be associated with areas that are likely to be lost and that keeps the blame on the Regular Russian Army and away from Wagner - who can latter maybe claim to have been successful in Ukraine ( in some fashion )
  4. I am curious though - I would have expected a modern armored force with appropriate engineering assets attached would treat such defensive works as a minor blockage only . It seems like a utter waste of time - or maybe not ?
  5. I can't even imagine the arrogance of the guy - that he thinks he can just directly talk with Putin and actually achieve anything ? Mind Boggling .
  6. Pretty much - Folks like this should be on a targeted list for cleanup and I imagine the Ukrainians will take the shot when they have it .
  7. Well I would kind of suggest "existence" is being meant in a more subtle way here ? Russia - if allowed to continue in its current political form - will simply keep trying exactly what is is doing now until it succeeds or until it no longer "exists" in its current form . There has to be a change in view/perspective at the top in Russia for anything to change . Until that happens Kraze is kind of on point .
  8. I was literally thinking exactly the same thing ! . I'd been getting a little queasy of late looking at the Death Clips showing up in ever increasing frequency ....but this morning my queasiness is gone .
  9. Other than the Symbolic Gesture though - Russian achieved what exactly ? Killing more Civilians ? Their soldiers are already doing that in the occupied regions . I don't see that this attack changes anything except displaying Russia's incompetence . US/Nato should respond with more Weapon system deliveries including a lot more AD systems and The Ukrainians Army can carry on planning for the next set of offensives .
  10. I'm enjoying some of these "Historical" unit reviews :
  11. Well - Does it even matter ? Ukraine has decided that the Kerch Bridge is now a target - I would expect them to be continuing to target said bridge much like they have continued to target other Military Targets . If the Bridge is now 100% down - one would expect further attacks to make it reach that state .
  12. Curious if the the timing of this was more than just a Birthday Gift . Maybe the start of a 3rd Offensive starting soon as mentioned towards/around Tokmak - to really put the pressure on the Russian Logistics . Imagine trying to combat a Third front , a Broken Kerch Bridge and still having to supply your Guys in Kherson ...all at the same time .
  13. This is getting a little messy - Elon Musk and his Tweets and reports of ongoing Starlink issues at the edges of the offensive areas https://www.ft.com/content/9a7b922b-2435-4ac7-acdb-0ec9a6dc8397 I get the feeling they are completely unrelated ....but if Musk knew about ongoing SL issues one really wonders why he felt the need to tweet about his Peace Solutions for ending the conflict - its does'nt really make for a good look in my opinion .
  14. Of course .....there are plenty of alternative views as to who and what is controlling oil production in the US and for what purpose ... https://www.americanprogress.org/article/5-reasons-why-the-united-states-cant-drill-its-way-to-energy-independence/
  15. I actually found this strangely consoling . They are backing away from the line in the sand they drew themselves .
  16. I have seen some comments which discuss whether this is simply another propaganda exercise - Yes our new recruits are training with the best equipment etc , etc . But in reality the T90's stay on the Training field and the recruits get shipped off to the front to field whatever is left on the front
  17. I kind of imagine someone like Kadyrov would be a little easier to get to/target by anyone who cared to do that sort of thing.
  18. Re-Above - Looks like that model is already in Service ??

  20. You think I was referring to just that one song as if I was some sort of simplistic fool ?? The perils of communicating by text I guess There is evidence everywhere that the general Russian Population has a tendency to think what they are doing in Ukraine is justified . Everywhere I look I see video clips of Russian mums saying their Boy is just going to run around a little and lose some weight - or Audio clips of Girlfriends/Wives sympathizing with the plights of their poor husbands ... What I don't see is mass protests or comments about how unjust the Russians are being by their own population - There are always a small few who make the effort and are punished for it almost immediately - but the great Russia Mass seems to be happy to let things happen .
  21. Why pick out extreme tenancies in a small portion of a population and try to use them as indicators that the general population has not learned from the past ? . We have extremest Nazi Groups in America and elsewhere as well - we don't hold them up as indicators of the general health of our populations attitudes . The ignorance you are pointing out is entirely your own .
