Thanks for the correction. I'm blaming the fact that getting stuck in a minefield plays havoc with my typing.
As I imagine it would, lol.

My thoughts were pretty much along the same line. I shall have to contend myself with getting my Limey arse kicked in the Reichswald.
I've already put together a new music mod "Jocks in the Wald".
If I may presume, I think perhaps you meant 'content' yourself....

Put ‘em on wheels and ship them overland. Irony.
Just read about the Ottoman doing just that to take Constantinople yes, it would be sweet irony.

We’ve got to find out what people want from UGS, how they relate to them, what sort of image they have for them. For example, do people want UGS that can be fitted nasally?
what is that a quote from?

Argh. I fell victim to social media! Clever bugger actually linked to an article and, aside from the date stamp, it looked relevant.
Oh well, I guess it still counts as "this is why we need to smack down Russia". If there is need for something more current, there is this:
Ukraine: The Latest - Hamas visit Moscow as Putin makes a 'cold-blooded calculation'
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2023/10/27/hamas-moscow-russia-iran-geopolitics/
In a way I'm glad I accidentally thought a 2006 article was from 2023. It shows that Russia's nefarious intentions in the Middle East are long standing. Even longer if you include the Soviet Union's notorious activities in the area.
Steve
i only got suspicious when i noticed there was no mention of the actual war- so i checked the date, lol. easy mistake.

Idiots. Smart people, even semi-smart people, have been saying that Russia is a problem that must be dealt with and the sooner the better. Only idiots, ignorant fools, or Russian suckups have disagreed.
But hey, these are the same people that think storming the Capitol to overthrow the elected President was a great way to preserve election integrity. Obviously not deep thinkers. So there's that.
Steve
this was from 2006, tho.

Genuine question: how small and cheap can you make a gas engine?
And fixed wings are possibly a way forward, but they can't maneuver like a quadcopter. When you are relying on hitting the back of a tank turret or trying to stay very low through complex terrain that might be important, especially if your control system is a bit dumb and needs to make last-minute adjustments.
I would not be surprised if both types are useful though. The Russian Lancet certainly seems useful, if much easier to shoot down with a RWS than a quadcopter.

It’s no longer SMO but “so called war”.
no- it's still "s.m.o." by "so called war" he is saying that other people (the west) are calling it a war when it is not, at least that is how "so called" is generally used in english.

It's still hit and miss and the AI doesn't know what real time period weapons are ie, Sherman tank, but you can get some ok stuff, the engines regularly ad a fifth finger, and other strange things but it is getting really good, I personally would never try to pass off a AI image as real but AI does have it's place, in illustrating images for articles and blogs etc...
I made a set of British Infantry from WW1...
Look at that expression and fear...
Getting movement...
Again the face of what is about to happen...
Make the viewer think how bad it must have been????
But the AI really shines for me in producing images from another age, before photography existed?????
Viking warlord...
First Punic war...
And on a lighter note..
Guess who?
So the quality of the AI images is in the prompts the better the prompt the better the image, love or hate it it is here to stay.... Very scary on a grand scale and this is just the beginning?
those wwi shots look really, really good, but there's still something that doesn't completely make it across uncanny valley . they don look like very good illustrations, though and i fear for graphic artists.

No, it wouldn't be. He'd be removed. And that's my point...Putin's still running the show. There are certainly stresses to his ability to arbitrate conflicts but so far there's no sign at all that he's losing control. So far, he's just losing the war.
i took it to mean that the only way it would take more than a couple of hours is if russia was involved in a civil war at that point, but i could be wrong, og course...
