Russian military doctrine do not support the usage of militant type of forces on the frontline. And even more - we do not plan to have any of them, coz in case of big war evryone will be mobilised into motor-rifle units.

What is your point of drawing our attention to a "Polish sniper" or a Polish flag while drawing our attention away from other things?

Assault landing bde have BTR-80/82 series
Naval Infantry bde have MTLB series.
All this APCs allredy ingame. And some MSB use MTLBs, like the arctical one.
No MMG at the section level, 2x RPK-74.
As far as i know they went from it in the midle of 90s.
At current moment RPKs are not used in armed forces in any significent numbers.

Then black sea marines. They have some T-80s and BMP-3s.
But probably they are just MSV with different insignias, coz they use the same gear.

I am sure Kalugin were talking about BMD-3, not BMP-3.
BMP can not be droped from airplane, so its useless for VDV.

Ukraine never existed as country before 1919 when Lenin decalare it. Thats is very hard question and i will discuss it only on my native coz i dont know english that good.

27K are the internal troops only. They numbered separatly from the army and they are not part of the army's 800k.

Sure not all of those forces could go to Caucasus (because they also have other functions), but that is the point of the Caucasus area security forces - they do not require the Armed Forces to conduct their counter terrorism/insurgency operations.
Terrorist attack in the December where halted only with use of local MVD forces.
And for case of uprisings we have internal troops with a lot of SF unitis in it.

Also the ability of Russian aviation to influence the US CAP is pretty limited assuming PATRIOT coverage.Russian air force have SEAD gear too. They dont have the real experince in that, but still US cant just throw all they Patriots into the Ukraine and even then they will be needed some time to make them work.
Also some military experts, with include of Israel ones, think what Patriots are not that great as Bush once said about them.
