The third place should have been your... Ok, i didn't played this scenario before, and in the first turns I was massacred by Russian Tanks and IFV... Then maybe you took too many risks (but with this broken scoring system what else to have bit of fun ?) and my last Tank survived, immobilized, to multiple shots, evend destroying a Russian tank and some IFVs. Sorry for my slow turn rate about 10 days ago... unfortunately I had some health problems that made me very difficult to send my turns back.

@MeatEtr : Sorry for the delay... i had a busy week with my job... Not the best scenario, but i will play to the end... maybe this week still a bit slow.

I will try to recover my (not AMD) Pc (the one that caused so many problems)... i'm actually playing on a better pc, but with an AMD graphic card... with many problems (not the best experience) ... just to go ahead... but for a new battle i would like to return to my old pc... Considering the high lethality of combat in open spaces (like battle 1 and 2 of the tournament) i think that probably the best type of battle is a city fight, maybe a meeting engagement, with lesser air and tank support, eventually.. What do you think ? I will need at least two weeks to restore my old pc, anyway.

@ IdontknowhowtodoX Hi ! Unfortunately round 1 is over (there is about 1 month to end both battles), and round 2 is already started (about two weeks to close that turn, also)... Howewer I would like to continue our battles (not important if not in the tournament environment)... but there is no way to get the files... at least i can't see them anymore... if you still have them on your pc, try to save them in order to resume that battles when the tournamet is over. Let me know !
In any case, in the next weeks, we could start a quick battle, if you like the idea... I liked our games!

Lowering the kill points by a factor 100, so that completing the objectives has a reward

We were unfortunate in this battle... Anyway it was fun, to this point we arrived... I also don't like the mirror system for the reason explained before, and also for the lack of surprise about enemy force composition.. I think future tournaments should consider the possibility to play maybe an attck map with US, an attack map with Soviets and a meeting engagement with random side. That would surely be better, unless there is the possibility to select force composition at start.

Hope you can fix it... but this battle is a bit unlucky for both... i'm playing on a backup pc, and clearly it was smoother on my primary pc. I hope that in case of a timeout, at least we can see the AAR screen

I finally managed to solve the problem... i didn't notice that also the email address was not saved in the login form... so filling with my email and again with password it finally worked and the file was sent... but i also launched Steam as Administrator (and i don't know if this also was relevant for my last succesful attempt)
@IdontknowhowtodoXFor now i sent back just one turn, tomorrow the second one.. it takes me more time than before, because i watch the turns with the new pc (old really but with a Nvidia graphic card), then i switch to the best pc for giving my orders (here i have the ATI Radeon that is terrible in the 'watch action' phase)

No mod installed, so i can exclude it ... the only difference with the version that was ok before my pc went down, is that on the (now broken) pc there was Windows 8, while both new systems have Windows 10. I don't receive any error message, after i press the end turn button... it returns to the main menu page... and if i go to select again the option for the tournament games in progress, i see again the login page (without password this time... in previous pc (the one where it worked fine), the password was stored and i got immediately the list of the files waiting for my turn) ... and then i see agan the turn that should have been sent.

Unfortunately ... bad news... i tried on two different pc.. and now another problem appeared : i play the turn,i give orders, press the end turn button... but no email is sent (no error message appears) ... if i go to games in progress (tournament games) i see the login page that doesn't mantain the password (only the user name) ... and in the turns to be played, i still view the turn i tried to send back.. i'm really disappointed... that was a very fun battle and a lot of time spent (by both of us)... if there isn't any technical suggestion i think i will never be able to complete my pending turns ... and will be forced to abandon the tournament... Version is 1.06 (Steam)
I made 3 attempts, always giving all my orders and pressing the end turn... in all the cases i get the same result. Unless you don't receive the turn anyway (so eventually only an extra file appearing in my list, that i can ignore) ... the turn played is the one where i'm the US player.

Yes, the start was terrific (for both sides, but you lost some valuable infantry in your APCs... and later you recovered greatly, honestly).
Tomorrow i will try to install Steam (and Cold War) on a bit older pc (but, at least, without an ATI Radeon graphic card)...
If i fail (for some reason) i will get my previous pc maybe in next weekend... on my latest pc (that is a very good pc) the game is simply unplayable... unfortunately. (PS. I have so many pc because i work in IT sector, and i never dismiss any previous hardware)

Is there any suggestion in the forum for user having ATI Radeon graphic card ?
The game is really unplayable (i run it under Windows 10, on a high spec pc, maybe except for the graphic card Radeon RX 550)

but when i joined my battle (as Soviet), in the information panel, the lenght of the battle was 10 minutes...
Hope not... 10 minutes is nothing for a good battle !

I'm ok for a CMSF1 PBEM game.
I have full game (all modules)
I prefer to be the underdog side, no problem even with unbalanced fights (but better medium size, no night battle (too unbalanced for NATO)). I usually (only!) play on Elite level and WEGO mode.
Choose a scenario and let me know!

I also played it (in H2H), and it is a very good infantry fight... Played also long time ago vs AI, and i got a good fight !

Long time ago i played this scenario in the demo version... i don't know why i was not interested in this title... after playing it, i immediately decided to buy CMBS... and i think it is the best of the "CM dinasty" ... i also decided to buy CMSF (with all modules), another great choice (despite 10 years old, it is still great)!
By the way, i would like to play Gauntlets Crossed against an human (i would prefer Russian side)... i remember it was challenging, but i don't remember more details (except that it was only infantry battle and Rus was outnumbered)..
So if someone is interested, i'm happy to have an hard fight (i have a great turn/rate ... even more than 3/4 turns per day)

Considering the huge amount of time to play CMx2 battles, I think the only solution is to make invitational tournaments, allowing to join only to those players that have a 100% finished games (or at least won because the other player vanished)
I was playing two good battles in this 3rd turn, still very balanced in my opinion... after about 15 turns of regular play, my opponent (i was playing as nickname gfs26) decided to surrender in both battles, with no tactical reason (he was not defeated, maybe a bit worse in the battle as Russians (his army) vs Germans). This is the reason I decided to give up to any future tournament, and try to find reliable players (there are many, I knew many on the FGM forum) for future battles.
