Not sure what the "visual range" has to do with it. Presumably, they have a radio?
Nope nothing but the binoculars - No C2 communication links.

Ambushes and urban. I would take it over the rifle for hedgerow fighting. Defense from hidden positions. Yea the BAR would lose the MG has faster response.

I have a Eng Co HQ with binoculars in visual range of no other unit.
This HQ can still call off/on map artillery - How is this so.

I like the east front but happen to agree with the statement about Russians lacking good AT weapons in CMRT.

I do look forward to playing in PBEM with you all.
I haven't played that much single player yet - what I have has been in Iron WEGO/Real and the AI gives a good game the trick is cracking the nut. The game gives the best for a single player and it isn't gamey. I watched all of poor 'ol spike videos and saw what you did in PBEM with CMx1 I was turned off.
If I see gamey stuff in PBEM I will probably not play that person anymore.
Biggest thing that irks me is the ATV AI. I'm not going into point by point everyone knows the big elephant in the forum.

I have no idea about gameyness don't usually look for such. I know that real world tactics finally work in a game.
I have been playing computer wargames since C64 when the first one was Kampfgruppe.
I like the 4 F's Find, Fix, Flank, & I forget the last one.

but that doesn't really matter. BF had only said that the labor required precluded it for the upgrade. They did not say never.
Depends how much they like riding on that tank as to if they would have died defending it or not.

I give up it is a major PIA to think of trying to keep several versions of this game to really PBEM.
No matter what you say I still believe that it just is charging for something that you should be providing but the lines get blurred (patch - upgrade).
Either way the game is the best of its type out there or why would I even want it.
The closet thing to it is of no comparison atm.
I will not rant anymore about this in negative - you have made your decision but I will not buy everything you're putting out anymore the east front is the most exciting.
West front to me not so much.
I look forward to playing any of you CMx2 vets in H2H.

I would like to see the ability to ride tanks in all versions of CMx2.....
History be damned this is a game not reality. I want the ability to ride into the fight and die gloriously with the tank when it gets hit.
I had a tank get ambushed - if there were riders this would have been bad for the ambushers.

You are getting the wrong firm if you have that problem. I am on their site to do work they cannot and then to tell them how to use it after I leave. If the people that are employed could do it why bring in the consultants. If the code was tight to begin with I wouldn't have a job.
The principle that you get what you pay for is not being applied here.
We paying for stuff that should be free (patches).
Applied to battlefront the game was released with the thought in mind it wasn't complete - hence patches then why should we pay.

So they released a "dumb" game a year ago and and because they "will" give multiplayer for free (allegedly) after charging $80 for a "broken" game you are whining about a $10 update to a 3+ year old game that originally cost $55? Huh?

I am just wanting battlefront to cop to just nickel and dime us with the upgrade costs. The 3 packs after the core should be enough.
I have been a battlefront supporter since CMBO. I think the real whine is trying say how hard it was and how many man hours pffft.
I was a IT consultant I know about how much work it really is. I felt I was robbing them the whole time all the way to the bank. I worked for credit card companies so I didn't mind taking their money.
I said what I wanted - look it's a niche market but don't pee on me and try to sell me its a hurricane.

They will give multiplayer for free. I would play single player but again the AI is still kinda dumb.

I was blackmailed by having to play only PBEM and you need latest and greatest.
The game has day one bugs and you charge for makeup (ATV AI still is dumb as dirt).
The game I am referring to is Matrix's CMANO http://www.matrixgames.com/products/483/details/Command:.Modern.Air.Naval.Operations.
I have an investment in this game and forced to play by your rules and not allowed to state the facts. The fact is most of the stuff you charge for is not a full expansion. You justify the the upgrade yet not give all the benefits of the new upgrade (tank riders trying to sell it by historical rather then poor programming excuse).
Just cop to the real reason you want to nickel and dime for stuff that should be free. Most of that big list of reasons for making another $10.00 upgrade are bug fixes.
EA plays a better game of this then you with the Sims 3 but then again they are only fooling little girls mainly.

How can they retrofit only once if the game is in a continual process of change? For example many folks want tank riders, but that means all the tank models need to be redone to add spots for infantry. We could have waited a really long time for that or we can get triggers etc now. I think you'd find pretty much the entire community disagreeing with you, however YOU are free to not upgrade now and just wait. You could not upgrade for the next 10 years and then do it all at once and likely for $10. You'd have to do without those features for 10 years but isn't that essentially what you are proposing with a one time upgrade? Instead you whine like BF is supposed to have figured out a way around the time space continuum.
And those of us who appreciate what all comes with 3.0 would quibble with you over the term "dribble".
I paid btw only cause I was forced like apple forced music companies to sell to their itunes or not sell at all.
The issue is you overblow the importance of you're efforts - then scream when anybody not a fanbouy, complain about your justifications for blackmail.
The people who developed CMANO will be patching for free and if there is and expansion it might be adding a full blown land combat and that would be a expansion.
The thing is you already did 3 times. So I know you are just milking the teat for all it's worth just cop to it and get over the melodrama justifications.

Oh and while I like the game too, WitP AE hasn't had a patch in over 2 years.
It was an example. I did get Command Modern Air Naval Operations.
This game is a full sandbox with no limits and they will being patching it for 12yrs as well.
It uses the world google maps and can load in any map image into game editor.
They have no problem with community third party support.
You have the Steam DLC mindset that every friggin graphic is worth $10 and will throw in these bug fixes as well.
The main point is if you are going to retrofit then do it all at once and charge once don't dribble it out like its something it's not.

I have all of the CMx2 products. I'm done - I would sell all at a loss just to get out from the crap.
I'm not going to pay for patches anymore that should be free.
I buy expensive wargames from Matrix. Never paid for any improvements to the game. They still patch WitP AE.
Why should I pay for yours.
