Major tactical problem is the AFV AI pathing. I wish this one thing was fixed it is been in every game and they will not FIX IT.
Yet we still have to pay for updates we really didn't need but to play nice with others we are forced to. This isn't the arguement just a point.
I hate losing because of idiot AFV AI pathing. FIX THIS I would pay $25 just for this fix and maybe a SOP doctrine but not as critical.

Why - I need to see why modern is better.

Here's an image:
(Ask me how I know.)
Ok, I'll ask.

I wait 1 turn before moving into smoke - the checking conditions beforehand along with the facing is SOP wait a turn to verify the facing before giving the command and then another for the results of the smoke.
I have smoked tree lines for movement thru open as well - the duration is iffy at best but better than nothing. Then do the Pickett's charge. The best way is to use the terrain for defilade. That is not what the OP was asking.
HtH I have used for misdirection - YMMV not even sure if it fooled them.

Hmm, I know BF have their reasons for this but it is annoying - how many base games will we have to own in the end! Maintaining and upgrading each one, figuring out who has what when playing PBEM.
I'd much prefer it if there was a generic East Front, West Front, Italy base game, that modules expanded through the years. It's not like they don't have the ability to select different times/theatres for the different TOEs.
It'd make maintaining the games much easier for everyone.
Either that, or having a common launcher with news feed and auto patching would go some way towards helping.
But I'm pretty sure this has been discussed many thousands of times.
I'm interested in knowing as well.
I'm am in the wait as see what pops out before I buy mode now.

There's a new German TV show series about eastern front called "Generation War" on Netflix.
It's in German has some reconstruction racial issues but the war stuff is good.

This is great, I wondered why that happened

If a CAS mission was called would not the forwardmost unit wait till well after the area is bombed to move into it.
This is with the idea that the mission was planned before the battle started for a certain time at a certain place ie. preplanned target.
If it was called from the spotter I would wait till the fireworks are over till moving in.
I know that there was strafing/bombing runs on friendlies whenever a CAS mission was called and executed wrongly.

Hello Womble,
It's very simple when I click the truck , I want to see the truck load, when I click on the units, I want to see the team members
Regards
Yea This ......

Maybe a indirect fire only button like the target light.

actually any, lighting conditions alone could have an impact, hence why you should play in IRON mode!! Yes folks step right up, tired of not being sure about your units C2 state, want to know at a glance who they can see, IRON mode is your answer!!
I knew there was a distinct difference couldn't nail it. I play IRON as well but I really don't win much. I like real over wego - but play wego in single cause it's more like h2h in timing and the game still has niggles that fug things up sum.

Check this movie trailer for WW2 Tank battles.
With Brad Pitt, & Shia Lebouf

I have an issue with the building sighting - work around by not putting the HMG/LMG in buildings. Two well ground placed crews can stop a company or two without blinking.
Put them on hide with very short target arcs - wait for it then open up ala ginzu slice and dice. Smoke and rinse repeat till no more army guys.
-
I didn't but now that I know about the 'nade thingie I'm going to use that.
I like the dismount scout routine - I don't think I would do it with a tank crew.

The movie with Rock was called "Hornet's Nest" and it was set in Italy/Sicily.
Some young partisans find injured flier and kidnap hot German nurse to get him healthy.
Hot nurse running around in her ripped up clothes and moving like that I didn't care she was a German... oh wait wrong forum

There is no graphic for the individual gun and AFV silhouettes in the unit info - shouldn't these be filled in?
Is my install messed up?

Thank you for the response.

Ok I think I asked the question too soon - seems that the spotter is not really spotting.
The artillery is not delivering the bombardment. The time is not being displayed and no time delay is either.
Both the spotter and the mortar crew is stuck at delivery.
The arty was delivered just didnt see any rounds land or hear them.
Know they were fired cause supply was depleted.

Apple does like to lock you into their ecosystem. Then there was the power adapter fiasco.
People do love their Macs and Apple products. Jobs is regarded as a deity by many.
There is the crux. The Apple thing is BS IMO - never bought into the hype even when ipod was KEWL. The real pioneers are running linux/Ubuntu.
I thought that Apple was for the ones who needed their hands held to operate a PC.
-
Honestly if you can use a MAC you can use Windows. Back in the day when Windows sat on top of DOS one could see why one might use a MAC. Playing with the command line editor and tweaking the config.sys and autoexec.bat could be daunting for some.
Today windows has pretty much caught up to the Mac. The Mac is a great piece of hardware, but like the Sherman vs Tiger debate, having more is often a winning strategy.
Besides what exactly is Apple these days? I would venture to guess they are far more interested in IPhone, tablet and their upcoming new IWatch than PC's.
I have no love for a closed system with no choice of my own.
I dont even have itunes on my comp. If it cant be modified why bother. The Apple marketing is to lock you into only be able to use their ****e and you dont have to.
Android over the ipad, samsung over the iphone, Apple will come out with a limited have to buy the next lvl cause it wont have a usb or microsd watch.
Android will come out with a better watch. Apple like Microsoft will lose market share they lost the figurehead.

EVO Hackintosh is a real computer and not a stock Mac
It is a custom built (by myself) multiple OS capable (yes I have a Windows 7 Pro 64 SSD in it as well). I need to us Apple OS for work and it is more convenient to not have to reboot if possible. What is frustrating is Apple's disregard for breaking a core OpenGL feature 7 months ago and not fixing it yet.
Phil has done a stunning job with CMRT Mac to put it mildly... Fantastic! Best CM game I have ever played. Beautiful and super fast / fluid with every piece of eye candy maxed out on the EVO Hackintosh. I know Battlefront will get CMBN / CMFI up to this level with their Mac 3.0 upgrades.
EVO Hackintosh Specs:
3.89 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 4096 MB
OS X 10.9.5 (13F25)
DELL U2713HM Display
2560 x 1440
Work be damned - gaming is what it is about. Macs just don't get the love so why bother to keep making it the main game machine.
Make your own machine over buying anybody's idea what it should be. I never understood why you would want to buy a premade unless it was a laptop.

The same applies with chance of immobilization. Should be higher depending on footprint.

Runners are "assumed" in the C2 model (for info spread, I guess, to out-of-comms elements), but aren't really a plausible abstraction for any form of support call, any more than pigeons would be
Delay time was no different then any other command unit except where coherent units were concerned.
When not coherent there is a added delay of 1min. Dusty Roads v2 Scenario - Allied Engineer HQ Unit (no radio - binoculars - no C2)
Having a ton of pretty grevious spotting issues lately

The spotting visability is really a non issue. This is a AFV moving a fast speed you could hear it from 30m away and know that is was coming.
If this is not the case then that is a bug.
If this was a infantry unit moving at fast/quick speed it should be heard at 10m.
If the AFV was moving at hunt/slow speed should still be heard from 10-15m.
This all at pitch black and hazy nights.
