  1. Thanks for latest. Unit info screen nice and big now. Other under the cover fixes appreciated. I left a good review on iTunes to offset some of the other negative ones that I guess primarily were having the crash that the update fixed. Playing this has got me taking time to learn deeper game on my MBP and I am eagerly awaiting my pre-ordered upcoming release in August.
  2. Thanks for the added info. To me, it makes it all the more apparent that the only thing this great iPad port needs is a piece of written documentation where all this nice and needed info is in one place somehow linked to the game as is traditionally done. Maybe just my old ways but it's nice for me to have a reference in some form for such a deep game. michael
  3. Update looks nice on my iphone4 - everything's there - I have to get my fingers used to the tight touching but it is amazing. but one thing - the info box for units is really small on the iPad now. Anyway to get it sized back proportionately like it was prior? Thanks for update and extension to iPod and iPhone.
  4. Michael E.'s right - Phil supplied a patch pretty quickly after Lion was put out (and after the patch you loaded I think) to those of us who went with Lion on day one of availability as many games to include CMBN had to get patched for compatibility with Lion. Since that initial patch I am running game under Lion with no problems. Great support from Phil I might add as my complaining, stupid jerk post was met with rapid response and support as well as more politeness than I deserved. a michael who isn't right often
  5. Right. As long as your Mac is of the Intel version chipset (all of them are for several years now) there is nothing virtual at all - you can run the Mac OS or buy and install Win 7 on a boot camp partition of your hard disk and then chose to run it and load whatever Windows games you care. That's what I do on my early 2011 Macbook Pro. I find myself in situation of others needing two versions noted above - but for me, it's because I play alot of games that I buy right out of the gate for Windows and then get the Mac version later on - many if not most never issue Mac version. My thinking is any company willing to develop for and support two platforms deserves two purchase price $$ in return. Bootcamp is easy to set up on your Mac - you have everything you need except a copy of Windows which is pricey. Apple support site has how to install Bootcamp and such docs. PM me if you need more. Having to re-boot to get to the Windows side to play games is one reason to run a Mac version if available I find if you spend most of your non-gaming time on Mac OS like me. Ability to control which video chipset you use if so equipped (and hence control to some measure battery usage and temperature) on Mac side and not Windows OS is another reason to run on Mac side. Con side is some games get ported to Mac years after Win version and lag in updates and etc. hence usually I find it's nice to have a Win version and stay with the pack, then get the Mac version later (if and when ported which still many never are) for the above reasons and hope it's a stable port after the fact by another company. Note: CMBN is pretty uniquely not like that at all - both versions were released together, updates are in synch, and guys like Phil Culliton bust it to answer questions and address anything on Mac side which there has been nothing on boards of since minor Lion compatibility thing way back was addressed promptly. I'm running Mac version only of it and really enjoying it. I wish more companies released and supported war-games in dual OS mode like CMBN does so admirably. Sorry to get off track on your specific situation. michael
  6. I went back and was editing my response to your post when you replied I think, Phil. I caught myself kinda half-assedly apologizing while rationalizing. Sorry again. michael
  7. Phil My first response of which this is a re-write was an attempt to rationalize my post. In reading my original post again after some prayer, it is obvious I was very rude and unbecoming. Period. I let my frustration in not being able to play the game I was just starting to learn turn me into a rude fool - yet again, and over a game at that. No excuses. Please accept my apologies. Thank you for all your good work. I'd be happy to send some $$ for dinner for you and family in recompense for my rudeness if you'd PM me an address. michael
  8. thanks for info - as I said in another post, I'm just itching to get back to learning and playing. One patch to get back to level playing field with the PC version is worth the wait as I've not had luck with the work arounds offered by well intentioned (and timely delivered) support.
  9. Game sits on my shelf for over week since I upgraded to Lion. Two work around fixes I was sent did not work. It was mentioned that fix for Lion and other Mac bugs was coming soon days ago - now? Disappointing how the Mac side of the CMBN house is being treated to say the least. Not only are there bugs specific to Mac and you still can't get it Lion compatible, but there is little updated info on your status on these showstoppers for your Mac base.
  10. Thanks for update and your work, Phil. Good things are well worth waiting for. michael
  11. as in known by all, my game no longer runs under Lion. Ticket got me fast response - but incorrect license key added to program support sent me did not reset my license (couldn't find it). I waited weekend and now with no reply to ticket, I am thinking/hoping a general fix is in offing soon to address Lion compatibility? Thanks for update I just miss learning the game as I was just getting going... michael
  12. thanks a lot Phil - you want anything tested I am running the latest Macbook Pro and would be happy to help.
  13. I like many Mac users loaded Lion on my Macbook Pro and now game is not loading - as I see others have done, I have filled out ticket and will wait. I've loaded a lot of game patches for Lion compatibility for other games in the last few days - seems cumbersome on both ends to have each user fill out ticket to get license key fix? Just asking... michael
  14. Will patch being issued today for mac users fix this issue with Lion as well as the other Mac issues to avoid every user contacting you individually for Lion fix ? Thanks for Mac support!
  15. thanks for as usual great support - as a Mac user who just loaded Lion I am awaiting the patch for that too rather than going the fill out a service ticket route. This patch I assume will also ready the game for Lion and allow us to avoid individually fixing via earlier instructions to fill out ticket?
  16. just dl'd ad installed patch for my macbook pro - ran fine, no problems. sorry anyone else is encountering some.
  17. Loving the game but can BF please stop saying to the many Mac users that never got the email telling us we can download our pre-order that the problem was on our side and the email was screened as spam somehow? That is just not that easily clear cut, and the numerous comments on not getting the email for mac only users seems to say there might be an issue with your mac user email notification? Now as many I have to go to your home page and see my physical order status to see if it has shipped yet as I have no confidence I will get an email. Should't be hard to check on your side that sends email notification and see if your mac user base is getting email notifications for either being able to download or getting physical shipment. Did any Mac users out there get either the now you can download your pre-order email or the your box has shipped email?
