But the guys at anonymous paid great price for this powers. They gave up everything for becoming the best cheetos-stained hackers.

You're the expert. What's the best the people at KBP and surroundings came up with?
-
But maybe some updated systems could be there. Nothing is to be excluded since Hezbollah had those crates blatantly marked "Tula, Russia". Amirite?
-
What about syrians? Couldn't thay have the Drozd? A small fighting chance against Javs?

Thanks for returning to topic, diesel!

Organist - you seem to know an awful lot of interesting people.

Will somebody lock this thread? It has become really unsefferable to follow.
I mean, WHAT THE FLYING TOSS, people?
Even if it's still insult-free, what I see is people swatting the same thing back and forth, only the posts get longer and more articulate in a futile attempt at making one understand the other's point of view. And full of links, I forgot.
That's one of the bad things about the internet, I'know?
When you meet a person in meatspace, you greet, you small talk, you get through the small things, and after a while that you know that person, you start talking about certain topics: since you have come to appreciate that person, you still get along even if certain views are totally opposite.
Here's how it works on the internet: you can sort through certain things. For example, the interest in combat mission unites people of this forum. People here tend to know more about history, interesting trivia and related topics more than average Joe on the street. Here ends the common ground. Then you see a thread, talking about sensitive issues, and you see a post you disagree with. You don't know the person, you don't see the body language, and if a blatant smiley face doesn't accompany the post, you can't be sure about its tone. And you reply. And you say easily misunderstandable things. And a cycle of aggravation begins.
Plus, I'm sorry to say it, abneo, but I have to agree with noxnocturnum that the "spoonfed" sounded really bad.

I am pretty slick with the ladies
100% rate of pick-up success in roughly 5 months, then I stopped because I found a really nice girl.
And you eat a slice of humble pie every morning as well, huh?

I am European, and, despite searching for friendly relationships with the transoceanic denizens, I never said the American system was the best (no offense to you, abneo!).
As for the validity of democracy... it's like growing up. Not easy, not fun, but you gotta do it. You wish others did things for you, and you just suffered a mild yoke, but that does not seem like a developed human being. Like Kant said, you gotta have the guts to use your brains and stand up for yourself, and get off your pampered buttocks.
Maybe a bit paraphrased.

A fretful business indeed.

And that, with all that will happen, is my point of points!
But for some reason doomsayers are more vocal.
And I was being ironical about chancho, no need to illustrate his demerits to me.

The thing is, I'm also a realist, but a thing here makes me think the outcome will be better than "more of the same". You know what that is? The SHEER SCALE of these revolts. It's the whole status quo of the arab 60s-70s and beyond collapsing.
If the revolts had kept to a country, sliding back in authoritarianism would be more probable. But! These revolts constantly fan each other. Their mutual survival strenghtens them. If, let's say, Egypt backslid, the people would be like "what? Why did our neighbors in Tunisia get to keep the new order and we don't?".
It's foquismo at its finest, as theorized by the bearded dude on t-shirts. But in a fine 21st century edition.
As for NATO presence, I think it always comes with pros and cons.
Pro - A powerful security force
Con - It always pisses off lots of people, despite its merits
As hard as these peoples have it rebelling, isn't it good that their freedom should come without a single Nato soldier dying?

Bah, they'll eventually figure out how mundane that democracy thingy they've been fussing about really is, political parties of ineffectual blabbermouths of every political spectrum will crop up rapidly, and they'll get up to speed with the west.
-
I dunno. All in all, I think there's always some uncertainty to deal with in the great void that the future is, known bads or not. I, for one, wish those peoples the best of luck in their tentative steps towards self-determination.

No pictures whatsoever of this wacky fun time?

To refresh this thing, whaddya guys think of Lybia? It is the fiercest and most fiercely repressed of the various rebellions!
Before the news I was actually asking myself "how will ol' Muammar fare?"; especially after the bat**** insane things he did in his recent visit to Italy and his equally megalomaniac friend.

Since we don't know a damn thing about tactics, let's put all our energy into eye candy
I've never seen this issue stopping a triple-A game selling bajillions.
Ba-zing!

Ah! The felony! It belongs to the Peng Challenge Thread, not here!

I'd say, he has a resume to go with that face.

Why movies about this haven't been made? Grossly inaccurate, explodey ahistorical hollywood movies?
-
Maybe the "ja" in the title misdirected you?
-
I don't see why an emotionless face couldn't be menacing!
A cold stare can defeat a battle cry, can't it? The (few) preceding pictures managed well... and I never said Germans only.

And Damian's answer should close the thread.

Too big? After the Armour And Stuff Defeating It thread I don't think so.
I saw the site, but I thought that maybe the manufacturer may trump the products up a bit...
