  1. How can the axis prevent allies from hitting the Ore from Norway to Germany? It's from a UK bomber. I didn't switch the route when asked when Norway became German minor. Maybe a mistake but I wasn't sure what it would change. Does anybody know about that event and what changes as far as the MMP Germany receives from Norway and Sweden? text mention 'losing control of Norwegian Ore' but something about Sweden will increase trade. Will a fighter in Norway prevent it? Probably not worth it? Also, I took the Vichy Fleet gold option and think it did tick of the USA, gained 400+ MMP, but maybe not worth it? Thanks for any advice
  2. Well put and I agree. There was some events after I took Nanning that supplies were coming overland into China somewhere else? Maybe the Burma road situation?
  3. No, you have it wrong, I'm fine with the game mechanics! Just wondering if there was a way or circumstance that a port could repair faster. That's all. BTW: I really enjoy the game so far. Sure maybe a few bugs, but compared to the release of other games on version ~1 <cough: all HOI games> it's very playable and enjoyable. The scripts for certain random events is way cool! Makes for a bit of different flavor each game. Kudos to Hubert and crew.
  4. How much does Japan taking Nanning hurt China and how much does it help Japan? Do captured ports always only go up in pts 1 per turn? Thanks.
  5. yeah, I was a bit disturbed by the game manual for pre-orders too. Whoever had the idea for the 'printed-manual' joke must be the same guy who brought us the 'Sea Monkeys' from the comic book days. Also, I'm not liking the orientation of the manual too. But I guess since it's almost unreadable, that is the least of my concerns.
  6. Wow thanks, great advice. Didn't know about the potential combat display. Thanks. I'm still not able to take FooChoow as I'm waiting for the right forces. Although I was able to take Nanning with a SF that came in from the mainland. Chinese player had come out of city and was able to kill unit and force march to Nanning. How much does Nanning hurt China?? and how much does it help Japan having? Thanks!
  7. Not sure what I missed but looking in manual shows units being able to detach with a right click. No where do I see that option??? Many choices when right click on unit, but attach/detach to HQ is not one of them :eek: So how do I manual (auto-assist) specific units to an HQ, if the manual doesn't seem to be correct.

  10. Well just started playing GC so maybe I'm just a bit bit ignorant of the game mechanics. But the following are really troubling me as axis. - Japan can't do much in China. Not worth it as my loses are more than China by far. How does one take that Foochow? - My Japan lvl 1 BB are taking 1 hit and usually doing nothing when bombarding FooChow??? That seems like a bug? Replacing a BB step is expensive. - My CV seem to really suck trying to hit land units, once again CV air steps not cheap vs inf. - So basically, it doesn't seem worth it to do anything in China but just hold?? What can Japan gain by trying to fight China? Just a lot of loses. What is the strategy for Japan then if China is a no go?? - What are SF for? Just tough inf? - How are allies able to hit Axis Norway convoy? Is that with air? - BTW only played like 3 turns so far - Hoping to get some advice from all you PROs out there. Otherwise my PBEM opponents will be walking all over me by 41.
