Sounds like a decent plan. What happens to the Fench Colonies? Do they go Independant, or join the axis? I remember reading somewhere that you will get a DE for Spain to Join once France (with no Vichy) falls ? ? ?

I've tried a few times as Axis not accepting the Vichy offer, but it has always ended up poorly. The French Medi fleet always stops any sort of amphib assault I can mount on Algeria, and the Italians aren't much help. Bulgaria, Romania and Hungaary don't want to join with France still in, and now Italy DOW's on Greece! I have no land bridge there! Anyone ever emply a sucessful "No Vichy" strategy"? I'm thinking the only way would be to put off capturing Paris, take Marseilles and somehow take Algeria before taking Paris . . .

For the Axis, yes. But as the allies when I moused over Fort de France, it said it was part of Vichy France and I am not at war with Vichy - doesn't this mean I'll have to DOW Vichy to land a unit in Fort de France? I landed troops in Fort de France as the Axis, but I cannot remember *who* owend it when I landed . . .. I'll try sending someone over then and see if it will let me land without DOW.

Wow, I guess I need to read the scripts. Right after the fall of France, Vichy was formed, colonies pledged allegiance to Vichy, then Vichy joined the axis! All in the same turn! Wow. Things are not looking good for the allies. What are the chances of this happening? The same turn I also got a message with the Japanese flag telling me that resistance will be limited in indochina. Isn't this suposed to be a message for the Japanese and not the allies?

As Allies at the DE, I chose to invade Fort de France. I received a message that Vichy France was concerned about my activities around Fort de France, yet, I did not get anything, and it still belons to Vichy ? ? ? Do I need to send down a unit and declare war on Vichy France to ger the Carrier, gold and cruiser?

My brother and I started a multiplayer game a while back in WaW 1.03 and since then I used both my liscences and had a computer "accident" and lost the game and liscences. I'd like to buy more a new copy (to support the authors of a great game), but I need v1.03 in order to continue the excellent game I had going with my brother. Is it possible to purchase the 1.03 version of Waw with the SC2 v1.08? I still have the save game. Is it possible to tell for sure which version the save file is?
