  1. It sounds like a Harry Turtledove book!!!!
  2. Here, Here!!! Well put. A Great Game!! Not an UGLY Child...
  3. That all makes sense! I'm sure that you have to trod that "Fine" line between historical and playablilty. This game does a goods job of that. And it's fun too!!! Thanks....
  4. Good Morning Hubert. Would you care to comment on "Ships' Speed" that was brought up in the review?
  5. Thanks for the reply. I run my desktop at 1024x768, so I guess that I can't do it unless I change that. I'll give it a try??
  6. I've never been able to run in Windowed Mode. I was told to wait for the first patch. Patch is installed, but still no Window Mode. What am I doing wrong? The game runs fine in Full Screen, but changing it in the options screen doesn't change anything??? Thanks for any info. Great Game by the way!!!!
  7. Thanks for the info. I logged on and downloaded the scenario's. Do they have an AI???
  8. Is the user name and password the same for the repository as it is for the forums?
  9. I was trying to find something in the Manual on these "Transfer Arrows" , but I couldn't find anything. Do they mean something other than pointing the direction to Hawaii???
  10. You're right! In real life Japan never had a chance. US industry was just too much for the Axis. Why skew history to make a game. Why skew a game to change history. Let the victory conditions be the equalizer....
  11. Please don't change the historicity of this game to please people than't can't live with it the way that it is!!! And I'm just not talking about the weather only...
  12. First of all, a Great Game!! I wasn't a big fan of the original Strategic Command, but this one is a "Home Run"... My question: I can't get the game to run in Window Mode. Is this because I only have 64MB on my video card? Other than this, I'm running without any problems. I do have 1gig of ram and a 3.06 Ghz processor. Thanks
  13. Well, I've been running the Demo at 1024x768x32 and it works fine. So apparently 64MB on the video card and 1gig of ram is enough on my machine!
  14. Well, it seems as though the whole process is pretty seamless. I'm not sure what all of the negative comments asbout e-license were about ???
  15. So an internet connection is required to activate the game. How about running the game after activation? Sometimes my cable connection goes out (Florida Storms) and I can use my computer, but without the internet!!!
  16. Sounds pretty "Simple", I'll check out the faq link...
  17. I've been running the Demo for awhile now and it is working OK. I've read a couple of posts about CTD's. what's with these? Also I'm not familiar with e-license??? So, I'm still on the fence....
  18. The Demo seems to run Ok. It takes a while for the AI to go through it's routine, but that may be normal? I run it at 1024x768x16 and it works. I'll play with the demo for awhile and see how it works out. My processor is a Pentium 4 at 3.0 GHz. So I should be ok there.
  19. I downloaded the demo and it seemed like this would be a "Fun" game. As I was thinking about buying the game, I came across the requirements. It says that the minimum for video card is 128mb and I only have 64mb on my card. I only have 1 gig of shared ram (minus 64 for the video). I don't feel like buying a new computer to play a game!! Is anyone running this game on a less than optimum requirements??
  20. I was thinking about downloading SC2,but it stated in the System Requirements that 128 mb ram was needed for the video card. I only have 64 mb on my video card. Does this mean that I'm out of the game or will it run on less. I have 1GB of system ram and 3.06 GHZ processor...
