    do we get to start a "the inevitable gimme gimme when's 1.07 request list for 1.07 how long is a couple of weeks" thread?

    and there was me thinking 1.06 was great and BF could have a rest for a while smile.gif

  2. yes since 1.06 I've been using Hunt combined with overwatch to really good advantage and the grat thing is coz of the better pathfinding and AI the time spent in setting up sensible tactical movement orders really pays off; setting a short cover-arc for the group hunting forward and having them supported by a unti or two with longer wider cover-arcs means I can actually now get a unti into a held building with next to zero casualties in most cases.

  3. Oh haven't seen that yet. But man, when I do I'll have a jolly good chuckle thanks to you for pointing that out. Funny thing was the M14 had a nice scope on it but was absolutely useless coz the brass gets ejected straight out the top of the chamber and smacks onto the bottom of the scope so it was pointless using it coz every shot just knocks the scope more out of alignment. maybe that was Will's problem smile.gif

  4. Just had a thought after looking at why things were crashing in the last second..maybe it's to do with split units? Seems that when I manually split a unit into say, AT and the rest and then try to run the rest away from the AT unit they have real problems doing this. Always keep trying to go back. if I get them in a vehicle and bus them away then get them out they run back to the AT unit. If I then save the file and reload to carry on that's when the crash happens on playback. If I get the unit to remerge I can then carry on as normal. I wondered if other people with the last second crash had split units invloved?

  5. I'd also note that sometimes the little icon is showing a pistol yet the red guy is sitting there with something a lot bigger. Bummer when I click through the red icons and ignore the ones with a pistol thinking they don't need worrying about a half a squad gets mowed down coz of it :(

  6. Hmm I had something similar happen in the Abandoned Airfield scenario of the campaign. Near the end one of the Strykers suddenly became immobilized: no damage, all crew OK just didn't want to go anywhere. maybe it was stuck on something coz it was near a rubbled house. is this possibility abstracted?

    Also had a weird Abandonment on the same scenario. crew abandoned a Stryker coz their FBCB2 got damaged! Still, once they'd got out and run away they were happy to be told to get back in again and drive off. guess they got scared for awhile there smile.gif

Yea right I noticed that too, and smoke doesn't seem to drop framerates so much..oh and the dudes just simply seem to EORK smile.gif They go were you tell them, do intelligent things and playing the "factory complex" clearing last night the "popping smoke and reversing" certainly saved my butt a few times.The whole thing just feels more right somehow. great Work BF.Thanks again

  8. Awesome smile.gif I dl'd the patch from a friendly pc shop today and I say again, awesome. Good on you BF, I don't know what it is but CMSF seems so much more playable now, more..precise maybe? i don't know but it's heaps smoother in all areas I've noticed so far. Just more enjoyable all around. great to have more info on sight lines, spacebar menu, elos, pathing, just awesome. Big WELL DONE to the team at BF and the betatesters and all involved. Much Thanks.
