I wasn't aware that a Challenger 2 was penetrated by an rpg - my understanding was that it was a massive ied that penetrated underneath.

Totaly agree about UK armed forces. This game needs variety, and since the UK has been in the region as long as the US, we need Brits!

I'm having no problems with a p4 1.6, 500 ram and 6800gt. Most settings are only 'average', but it still looks and plays really well!

I agree - this is a great game, particularly after the disappointment of ToW. Modern warfare is not usually my thing, but this has got me hooked!

vin2007 - I couldn't agree more, except that I gave up well before you! TOW has huge potential, but sadly I suspect that it has probably lost a large % of players for good. A shame.

Fair point, I was a bit sloppy in my post. I think I let the whole 'CoH-is-god' thing get the better of my critical judgement.

For anyone interested, PC Gamer (UK) has reviewed ToW in its July edition. It gave it a reasonably fair, thumbs down 60%, partly for the well-discussed issues most of us have with ToW, but also for not being CoH.

I have no problem whatsoever with people pointing out (even strongly) things that need correcting - I agree with most of them - but I do get fed up with petty, insulting (which includes 'fanboy' by the way)posts by those who refuse to accept that anyone can hold a different opinion. Shouting doesn't bring someone round to your point of view. Instead of attacking those who are enjoying this game (despite agreed problems), why not work to get them resolved?

Krull - you've posted a lot about fanboys, yet I have yet to see an example of one on this forum. Sure, there are those who are (to varying degrees)enjoying the game, but that doesn't necessarily make them fanboys. A fanboy (as I understand it) believes that a product/developer/publisher is perfect, 100%, etc. All of the broadly favourable comments I have read are qualified by suggestions/complaints about various aspects of the game.

Just out of interest, has anyone seen a 'fanboy' post on TOW anywhere on this forum? I've seen a fair number who like the game, but feel that there are things that need fixing, but not a 100% out-of-the-box perfect post.

Sorry to ask this obvious question, but I can't find anything in the manual or elsewhere. Is it possible to re-deploy troops before the start of a battle. And if so, how?

I've downloaded and installed with no problems, but my eLicence is rejected everytime. I'm 100% sure its the right number, so I just wondered if there was a delay?

Most settings on high. Tutorial played well, though single player mission got a bit choppy, but still playable (just).
