  1. Ahhh Google indeed... "Been there, done that" Meaning To have experienced the topic under discussion and become bored with it. Origin This originated in the early 1980s. It is generally regarded as an American expression. This item from the New York newspaper the Syracuse Herald-American, February 1982, which is the earliest version in print that I can find, puts that in some doubt. It's in a piece by Jerry Buck, writing out of Los Angeles, about actress Lauren Tewes: "Miss Tewes, who has just got divorced, says she doesn't plan to get married at this time. Using an Australian expression, she says, 'Been there, done that.' About a decade later 'got the t-shirt' was sometimes added for extra emphasis. An early citation of that is from Ski Survival, February. 1991: "Knee Injuries. Rosemary Burns has been there, done that and got the T-shirt. She gives fellow sufferers her sympathy and sound advice." Of course, it wasn't long before you really could get the T-shirt. They have become a favourite of alumni associations worldwide. Thanks Peleprodigy, but I have tried that and my results were not good. The request is for a video of the game running "well", I could send you a video of a color chart in black and white but it kinda defeats the purpose. I will see if I can figure it out and get something reasonable up.
  2. It runs pretty tight on my machine but my fraps video of 45 seconds was in the hundreds of MB's?? No way I am gonna attempt to upload that anywhere. Suggestions?
  3. Well that was more like it! I emailed Matt and got exactly what I needed within ten minutes. Great service. You may want to figure out whos mailbox sales@battlefront.com is routed to. Thier response should be as quick as what I got but its not for some reason. Appreciate the help!
  4. Thanks for the reply Steve. I will email Matt. Sales@battlefront.com as directed on your sales page is who I have been emailing. I will try Matt though. For those above who couldn't figure out what I was asking. I am asking where my copy of Shock Force is and if the thread about "good now shipping" was effecting all sales or just certain packages like the collectors edition. 5. Well since were all slobbering over the great service would one of you please send some my way... I hate to be the jerk to ruin this ego-stroking party but I would really like to know what happened to my order. I will give props for past performance. My other BF purchases have all arrived without fail but now for some reason I guess I have been marked by the sign of the evil one or some such nonsense because its been nearly four weeks since I ordered and nothing yet. No responses to emails, nada... odd for BF I agree, but nonetheless I am getting the cold shoulder currently. Anyone? Help?
  6. Can anyone tell me what that means and how it has effected my purchase from nearly a month ago that I am still waiting on? Sorry I don't have time to sit around reading every post on here to try to figure out why I don't have my product and since my emails to the sales departement go unanswered, I figured I would ask in here. Yeah Yeah I know, small company, tiny staff, etc... fact is they have my money and I have no product and I have been more than patient I feel. Anyone?? ____________________________ Well after I posted I finally got a response from Steve on here who directed me to email Matt. Matt solved my query in less than ten minutes. BF may want to figure out who is supposed to be answering emails for sales@battlefront.com becuase they're not currently up to par with the rest of the staff apparently. Thanks crew! 7. Waiting in Bloomington Indiana. Ordered three weeks ago and unlike other things I have ordered in the past, I am still waiting. Strarting to get under my skin a little...
  8. Squishalll, Amen! I too am a senior NCO in the US Army and its actually pretty fun to rack up some poor PF with actual human error and basic lack of discipline. I have seen some of the finest troops in the world make some very odd decisions. Watched a Soldier drive an ASV straight into a 5 foot deep pool of water in Mosul when there was a road going right around it. Buried it to the drivers hatch when he hit the soft mud.
  9. You guys ROCK! Thanks! This game is oddly realistic. While I was not assigned to Strykers I rode with my Landowners on several occasions (TO THE LIMIT!! 5-20th). Brings back some odd memories. No worries about dropping into a PTSD episode but certainly enough to make me a little glassy eyed.
  10. I read the manaual and perhaps I just missed it but I keep reading things in these forums like "I told my Stryker to Open up with the MK19" and "I forgot to tell them to grab the Javeling Launcher!". What in the world are these people refering to?? I see no way to "tell" my stryker to do anything but shoot. I have choices like Target, Target Fan, etc... but I can't figure out how to tell it to use a specific weapon on a specific target. Same with the Javelin. I see where it is on the Stryker but see no way to tell Joe to grab it to use. Is this automatic when you create an AT team? If so then why do some people on here insist on making up references to commands? Please help. Thanks
