  1. My time at Reforger 1988-1989 was a blast, the one time they let us plow those farm fields and go anywhere!!!

I remember we found some sleeping Op4, and took all their radio antennas, they didn't leave anyone up for guard duty; I even went into a full sleeping GP medium and no one said a word. lol. left with their antennas. Got into a fist fight with 10th mountain over it! lol.

While out patrolling a road we came upon a disabled HQ 113, and Bradley, captured it and all there maps.

Good to hear! Even tough Dragon is not the most dangerous missile out there it will be a real trouble maker in numbers. As I understand it is light, fast to setup and the missiles are not too heavy. So integrates well to an infantry squad without limiting the mobility.

While I was in all most all my teams in the Combat military police corps we had one per team. I loved this missile!

Eight Minute - BDA and Some Movements

I thought you'd be interested in seeing the battle damage from the two Saggers that hit M-150(1/4).  Very low on the hull front.. I am not usually that careless when checking Hull Down.. lesson learned!

    T-08_OA.png

M-150(1/5) is reversing slightly to improve its position... note that in the following image it looks like this vehicle can spot a T-64 on EAA-1.. but it cannot target it.. so with this reverse move he will pull out of any view on EAA1.

    2nd Platoon

I have made some decisions based on what I have seen so far and with the Soviets movements and unit placement.. also remember I am getting my second and final reinforcement in two minutes.

With what you have seen so far in this AAR as a guide, and after reading the following.. lets play a game, try to answer the following...

    What is Bil planning?  :D

    • Clue the First, I am shifting all four of the 2nd Platoon tanks to my right:

    T-08_OB.png

    • Clue the second, the two M-150s in this platoon are moving forward... note the location of their covered arcs:

Looking forward to reading your guesses... it'll be a few turns before I confirm or deny them, but light it up folks.

shouldn't the engines on those 113's stop the sagers? Im mean look, thats a lot of metal?

The two 60mm mortars in this scenario are "Off Map" so the below would apply:

Off map artillery/mortars: The way off map artillery rounds are counted, the top-line number (listed as HE) is really the *total* number of rounds available, and the next number (listed as Smoke) is the number *of those* that can be fired as Smoke. But anything you fire, whether HE or Smoke, counts against the top-line number of total rounds available. So if it lists 140 HE and 40 Smoke, that doesn't mean you have 180 total rounds--it means you can fire 140 total, and of that, up to 40 can be Smoke.

I also noticed that under conditions the wind is "Heavy".  In my experience smoke is not useful in heavy wind anyways (don't know if that makes you feel any better about it or not :D).   I generally don't rely on smoke screens in wind conditions greater than medium.  Often medium wind can be problematic.

For others who might be interested this scenario was created by @Philipp and is available at the scenario depot.  Link below.

    Ok understand,

I really enjoyed this raid mission, took me a good 3 times to get a decent result, or exceptable loses.

    I played on Warrior, setting.

I suspect that may point towards an install issue.

no, everything is where it should be, maybe saved mission issue?

nope not the issue, I'm not sure what's causing it because everything is in place. and it's still not correct.

Turns out AVAST is back to blocking everything from BattleFront again!!!!!

License issues again. I tried the 2 that I have for the NATO and this keeps popping up.

I don't understand why this keeps happening over and over again every 2 or 3 years?

are the license issues expiring? Because if this is going to happen every three years I should get a permanent license? I mean I paid 3 times for this game and none of those licenses work now, for the shock Force 1.

As a very good friend of mine who I went on my first tour to Afghanistan with said in reply to the question posed by a group of ladies we met in a pub in London while doing some of our pre-deployment briefings 'Afghanistan - wow! What will you be doing there?':

    'Mostly sitting'

As it turned out he was right so I'm not sure all of the RL stuff is that interesting.

Although going back to the mine strike episode, that was about an hour after we crossed the border.  Prior to crossing the lane, we got issued a set of verbal orders regarding going through the lane and after that, mounted up and prepared to move. The vehicle two behind mine popped off its smoke dischargers as we were mounting up and the net came alive with 'who did that'. Needless to say it was operator error and nobody had reloads for them. Luckily it wasn't a fatal mistake for any of us.

Again, it goes back to player expectation - as veterans, we both know that soldiers do dumb sh1t.

mostly sitting is to true!! lol, 99% sitting, pissing, *******, and sleeping... 1% actual Combat...

Wilcox's pass, I tried to slow crawl a known mine field or choke point and still lost engineers!!
