Yoyo! MOON! Damn right there, I never have any luck, I only win my scenarios due to my incredible tactical aptitude and all around geniuos in all areas possible. AI ONLY wins because its cheating and has omnipotent unfair knowledge and skillz.

From 1956;
Taktik im Russlandfeldzug:Erfahrungen und Folgerungen by Eike Middeldorf
(the writer served in OKH with tactical development and troop education)
Its a bit dry book, written for military schools and such. Its about tactics, tactics and some more tactics.

I replayed the scenario again and it was a schreck alright. They always seems to start shooting at max range, and most often hits too. Range is as was said around 180 meters. I would like an accuracy correction in the patch for these little pigz. They are too accurate with their rockets. Is it only me that thinks the rocket guys are a bit too ûber?
-
Which of them? There are 2 defend commands. One is for defending in place and look for cover in the vicinity. Another one is for infantry only and is used by clicking on a tank to make the infantry tag along behind the tank, taking cover from it.

Didnt know there was any schrecks in the game?. But anyway if I can hit tanks or get hit myself on regular basis on 120+ meters i think they have it modeld wrong in the game. Last scenario i played "closing the gap" I had a tank gotten knocked out on way over 200 meters as a matter of fact. The rocket arch was like from a trebuchet. I dont like that.

Where playing the allied campaign and got a few tanks taken out by Panzerfausts. Nothing wrong with a faust that takes out a tank, but the range it happens on bugs me. it was around 120-150 meters. I believe that is WAY WAY too far, from what i have read the maximum range you could engage with some hope of hitting anything was 70 meters, preferable range was 30-40 meters. I think the range for all of theese weapons is about the same with the bazooka holding the edge infront off the others.
Something for the patch?

Same thing with the T-34, it says it has 45mm armor, but with sloping you will get almost double effect of armor versus Armor piercing Ammo. Maybe they take into account in the game engine, who knows?.....have not read anything about here.
Sloping armor is not that effective versus exploding ordnance though, is it?

dizee,
Dunkirk is one of the most difficult missions in the entire game, you are not alone having problems with it. Have you tried it on EASY setting yet?, dunno if it makes a lotta difference, but you could try lowering the difficulty.
I stormed the first AT line with my inf, and used my tanks to take out the enemy armor on the left side at about the same time. After that I swinged right with my tanks and attacked the village from the right side(making sure to avoid the char 1bis). Make sure to deploy your paks that you get as reinforcements and also crew the guns you take from the french. That did it for me but I was almost out of infantry and also all my pz38 was out of ammo. The pancer IVc is great for taking out enemy guns.

Yes in "Wacht am Rhein" your 1 sniper is the most valuable unit you have. I had him sneak around the right flank, and he took out 4 guns(maybe even more cant remember) from behind by himself. A bit gamey, but effective. Keep your sniper alive thats what gave me the scenario.

(Not that the developers is sucicidal, the INFANTRY is!)

#2 especially is in need of attention from the developers, to avoid having that mindless suicidal behaviour they have now.

Do you have much cheese to your whine? I would recomend camembert............Originally posted by BillyBob:Go into C-drive, Documents & Settings, your named folder (as opposed to 'All Users' folder), then into cookies folder.
Top of the page, use the search icon (has a magnifying-glass icon), search for 'all files & folders' and input 'battlefront'

These dishonest scum can't ban entire IP-ranges, because they would hit innocent members who might be using the same provider who uses the same range.
Sorted.

Hello BillyBob! Feeling allright this fine day?

"Oh also what is frustrating is that I have not figure out a way to automatically promote, give experience points to a group of soldiers. Going through each one is pain."
You CAN do this on the experience screen. Click that icon down to the left on the screen "ALL" and press "AUTOMATICALLY".
"BTW, 200m is long range for a Bazooka or Panzerfaust. Your chances to hit are slim."
The chances to hit are actaully nonexistant i would say. If you hit armor with 200m range panzerfaust its a BUG

I was being sarcastic. Humor. If I offended you, sorry, that wasn't my intention. Let me explain the joke to you:Originally posted by SirReal:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by chanss:

During WW2, the russian command structure was famed for it's inflexibility and lack of initiative at the lower levels. Thus, the joke of having the battlefield commander showing up at individual tanks and authorizing turret fire. </font>

Always deploy your Infantry in line to bear maximum firepower.

Of course, in this particular simulation, they opted for the Truth, namely, all tank gunners must await a personal order by the local battalion commander, before aiming at an enemy turret.
Oh wait, it's a russian developer...
Very uncool sirReal

Is it the American campaign You are refering to? I have not played that one yet. But it all seems revolve around skill points anyway, so if para has 100 in scout hes really scouty, but not more than an ordinary infantry with scout 100, understand what I mean?
Maybe paras have a higher intelligence stat and in that way they will get more experience points after missions?
A Winning Concept....Goodbye CM3?
