Ah, ahm.... I can feel it.......you are driving a....lets see, Yes a VOLVO truck!Originally posted by schmegeg:I have a new inspiron e1705 dell with a intel duo core thing running on vista and it has some new graphics thing it is brand new. The problem is I have asphalt, tar, and css1 tac stuck to me at the end of the day. I have to drive a 75' long transfer dump through heavy traffic. I do this stuff because I am as sharp as a bag of wet mice. I can't get the demo to run on my pc and if you can dummy it down for me I would like a reply.
Am I right or Am I right?

That Maus in the musem picture, is it the real thing or a mockup of some sorts? What museum is that pic from?

Probably because of that one then.Originally posted by nonickch:From my experience later missions in a campaign offer a whole lot more of xp than the earlier ones.

SSG's latest offering, Battlefront, is indeed an incredible wargame. Kudos to you for harnessing the willpower to stay away from it.Originally posted by flintlock:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by chanss:

Yup from him or one of his aliases, cant remember which. He is a funny guy, a bit like Nicholson in the Shining.....Originally posted by Platoon Crusher:@ chanss. Isn't your signature a direct quote from chasnut? I believe it is the example of the exact words that finally got him banned from here. I think so anyways.

Doesnt anyone find it a bit strange that a Online publisher, Matrix, auctually reviews THEIR OWN games at the Wargamer which is owned by the Matrix. To me it STINKS, and I have stoped buying games from them period. Which is a pity since they publish SSGs excellent games.Originally posted by Moon:Yeah, that was a bit of an odd remark there at the very end. Especially since we already announced an expansion, patch, and even hinted at an add-on where buildings and smoke are high on the list of added features, but also because the rest of the review was fairly balanced.
And like Drawde says, being an online publisher long-term support for games to make sure that they are not stagnant is our daily bread. Wargamer, owned by another online publisher, should know this better than anyone else.
The pessimistic tone is also odd because TOW, warts and all, is the most innovative game closest to the definition of a wargame that came out in a long time. You would expect a bit more positive outlook at the potential of the game engine (as mentioned in the review) from a site called Wargamer.

Lately to me it seems my men get more experience points the higher grade they got. Is that so? Or am I just imagining that? If so it would make more sense to promote the men than else is needed, as it it is now I hardly ever promote anyone. But if promoting them would make them get more xp, promoting is a good choise to do.
Does grade affect xp gain?

Good review i think. I would give the game around 8.2 - 8.5, in gamespot terms myself. My gripe is that they overdone the dificulties on some scenarios. Else its just bloody great!!

Uhm.....his mental health didnt fare well when he got beaten by the AI. He just dont give up it seems, not normal that one.......Originally posted by Wolfseven:I see chazman was in there giving his dismayed taste of the game.

I read that you are going to do some mission tweaks. I was thinking on the russian campaign in particular. The later part off it from the kursk battle and forwards is unplayable for me because of the insane difficulty even on EASY setting. Thers also some other missions that could use some tweaking apart from the russian campaign ones.
The game engine is fine, but the scenarious, many of them, is all too much difficult, it simply isnt FUN to play the game anyomore for me. I have simply gotten tired of the game because of this. Kinda sad realy as i enjoyed it very much for a while.
Anyone agree, or is it me??

I did it now, it seems its enough to track all panzers, doesnt need to destroy them. But it was a bitch scenario, not the least fun at all.

Woow....... gets even better I can see.Originally posted by MajorPrivate:LOL edited it. I tried it like 10 times.
I am on a mission now that has 5-6 T-34/85s going up aginst 6-8 King Tigers, and a coupla 4s and 3s whoa!!!11

I tried all possible ways to beat this scenario, but it seems totaly impossible. Loads of Elefants brumbars and tigers, I wonder what the person was thinking about when making this scenario? They did an awfull job in creating this one. Even some reinforcement spawns in the line of fire from the elefants, I mean really....HOW did they reason? I will have to edit it myself. Good thing they included a editor.
Anyone who managed to clear this one, please share with us how you did it?

Yeah, cant beat this one, its an insane scenario I have to say. Nice game but not that good scenario design. It is a pity.

I notice in the screenshots that there are some colored bars under the soldierfaces, something from the new Ûber patch maybe?

Yes in particular thers one Ûber fallshirmjaeger sniper in the german campaign, I think it was in "wacht am rhein" scenario. He was awesome, took out 4 ATGs alone.
Devil indeed....

Yes, its from a now baned member in this forumOriginally posted by SlapHappy:Love the new sig, Chanss.
"Billybob", he was quite....ah....shall we say, unique.
I played above scenario on EASY, it more shows that i managed an insane amount of F5 than having any real skill.

On the turretless german armor, ALWAYS aim for the tracks(low aimpoint). That will make the crew bail out after a while if tracks are out. The rest off the tanks, aim for the gun ALWAYS (high aimpoint). You hit they cant hurt you!
