I wish there was a way to shoot all you impatient people with a nice jolt of, say, 10,000 volts or so for 1/2 a second.

jeebus, give it a rest already.Originally posted by Jonesy777:Matt,
Thanks for the update. Is there an idea when the demo will be released? If not then how about just telling us when the pre-order downloads will be available...
-
very prescient. I am sure that is how it will play out. sad, but true.Originally posted by Pvt. Ryan:The link will go live. Shortly after that emails will go out to those who pre-ordered. Shortly after that people who didn't get the email will start complaining. Shortly after that the forum will be filled with posts about how people couldn't get the download to work. Shortly after that people will be flooding the forum with posts about how they can't get the game to run. Shortly after that people will start posting how they love/hate the game. Shortly after that people will ask where they can buy the game at retail. Shortly after that people will ask why their troops can't enter buildings. Shortly after that...
wish I could laugh, but I can't.

ha! good one. well, it's all over but the waiting.Originally posted by Pvt. Ryan:The game will be released tonight, but not before Madmatt has made his 100 votes for Sanjaya.

a series of linked battles (campaign) covering the Third Battle of Kharkov, Manstien's brillaint counter attack with the II SS Panzer Korps. January thru March 1943.
the game seems perfectly set up for a fluid, mechanized, combined-arms series of battles.

i could not care less about a demo. when the game comes out, I'll play it and enjoy it.

It would be cool to get the game for the weekend...Originally posted by Valgua:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by theBrit:

video looks cool. very cinematic. the complainers show how very little they know, about much of anything, frankly.
-
au contraire, may my screen fill with destroyed soviet armor!

wow, this release is sure to collapse without your support, and the support of that large group of people that surround you. ditto all the other zipper-heads complaining about the e-licenses.Originally posted by Kellysheroes:I personally won't buy or recommend to any other person games with this type of registration. So, if that means Combat Mission Campaigns and Shock Force and future modules of it also are going to require this "lame" online registration everytime I install the game or need to reinstall it then they won't be getting anymore of my money and I'll be sure an relay this information to all my friends and relatives and aquaintances as well.
Damn. And I was looking forward to this game.

that blog link was sweet. it does look like a keeper!! can't wait.
-
lol, re your MTW2 comment. Played over 300 hours of it, and there was no major bug in sight.
in any event, the e-license thing is great. it's a no-brainer.

you nailed that one!!Originally posted by Moon:I guess it goes to show what an annoying minority you guys really represent

heh, that would be a nice gift for the Easter basket, for sure!!

whining and complaining on boards like these is endemic in every game format, and for every new release. it's the human condition (or at least, the modern human).
it usually goes something like this.. "OMG! I can't believe this game is being released with (insert tedious pet peeve here) in it! I mean, what a deal breaker. I am not buying this until a demo comes out...blah blah blah"
it's a broken record. I just ignore them and game, like I have always done.

jeebus fellas, complaining about a lousy $8 S&H fee?
that's the equivalent of 2 good beers, gone in a half hour on a good night of drinking. get some perspective, please.
-
seems unlikely that they would leave out C&C issues in a game like this.

Disarray, see my post in your other thread.

I say a bunch of us start to hi-jack all the "where's the demo" threads with off topic posts that get the thread locked.
at least, then, it would be productive.
