I agree RabidRabbit. Madmatt has made the effort to give a brief update and I think that goes a long way.

Oh yea, I been waiting for a WW2 game from 1C since the company was first founded. Beat that!!!!Originally posted by Chad44:i've been eyeing this game since it was announced.

You sound like a very optimistic man Darryl60. I like that. I'd very much like to believe that though I think you are speaking from the heart rather then logic.Originally posted by Darryl60:I suspect that it will be out before Christmas. But I expect it to be close, like a week or two before.
They have mentioned that they are testing some of the changes,so they must be fairly close to going gold, relatively speaking that is.

No ****!!!Originally posted by El Jeffe De La Madre:Well those AAR's sure seem like this thing will be a kiddie tank fest.
The game has potential for sure but having all sorts of tanks shooting each other at point blank range is not going to take advantage of the great vibe it gives off.

Wait...the realism factor for TOW just keeps getting better John.Originally posted by John Kettler:The Army Air Corps must be in pretty bad shape if things have reached the point where apparent early war B-17s are being downed by mid war German light flak vehicles. Thought they flew higher than that, say 9000 feet or more than shown!

This is very troubling. Lets hope the english version is revamped. It would appear from reading all of your posts Daimyo that 1C has their work cut out for them.
-
Surely you are not putting all your eggs into one basket WAITING for just this one game to come out. What happens if the demo and final release of TOW does not meet your expectations?
-
You know, alot of ppl get turned off by this kinda bull-****. I on the other hand read it for the pure entertainment factor alone. I am right at home in an anarchist world.

I have to agree with Mick. For lack of a better word, boredom, and a basic lack of real insightful information from the dev's on a daily basis, the forum has now come down to this. Granted BFC has better things to do then give update's everyday, but most forums that I am part of eventually end up this way until demo release, then all is civil again. Me on the other hand I could give a **** less. You get flamed, you give it back the same way. I think Meatetr is just blowing off a little steam is all and his comments are again being blown out of porportion.Originally posted by MikeyD:Looks like 'forum fatigue' to me. BFC's got a laundry list of outstanding-looking games that people have been waiting - and waiting - and waiting for scraps of information to keep their interest alive.
Actually, this ToW forum's got it better than most! Real-live game screenshots. Working game website. The Russian version released so something to talk about. Troll on over to the 'Modern Naval Battles" forum if you want to see what a dead forum looks like!

Demo has been released exclusively to TOW beta testers, myself and Windycity. Demo's can be attained by a select few to those who suck up and brown-nose the most.

Learn to distingish between a historic tank battle and AAR's geared toward close quarter tank battle eye candy. No where do I mention that historic tank battle of Prokhorovka did not happen at close quarters. Probably a few other close quarter tank battles that come to mind as well. That is not the point. It would be nice again to show some tank AAR's at long ranges. Be nicer yet to have a large inf battle AAR. Thank you though for the update Darryl60 and I'll seriously consider your strong recommendation for checking my facts first and foremost.
-
I had a read through of all 4 AAR's and was enjoying them until I made it to the last AAR involving the Russians and Germans. It was enough to make me nauseous. Why bother showing an AAR like that involving numerous tanks at a stones throw away from each other in a C&C type environment. Great graphics for the young un's out there to get exited about, but I'm sure an infantry type battle for the grog CM crowd would have been nice with 1 or 2 tanks thrown in for good measure. Just my 2 cents.

Maybe another demo thread is what's needed.

That's the kind of humour I like . BTW Lawrence how is Riverbravo since Katrina?Originally posted by THE Sabot:****My own, limited experience in shooting human beings with automatic weapons, ranges 100-800m, 7.62mm and .50 cal. : Most of the time, the target dropped immediately to the ground, as if unplugged from a power source. ****BTW, will there be flaming crewmembers jumping from burning tanks?...'cause that does happen.

Sorry you fell for that one. It's like a bad accident and you just have to slow down and have a peek. Again sorry for making you read my post. I'm sorry "how stupid you look."QUOTE]Originally posted by WindyCity:

If that was not enough you proceeded with the intent to insult every American on this forum with some lame-ass leftist statement.
Windbag I am sending you one of my grandfathers flags so you can salute it when it comes in the mail. I understand you need drama in your life. Hey the soap "General Hospital" just started.I was not aware that my intent was to insult every American on this forum. I was almost certain I mentioned the President of the United States and the Secretary of State. I was not aware these two political figures were not to be questioned or second guessed in anyway/shape or form and that you in particular were THE voice for the American people. I was also not aware that I had mentioned US servicemen and coalition forces in that joke. Next time actually read the post with your eyes open friend. "how stupid you look."

Don’t post derogatory comments about someone’s Government in a game forum along with total BS about your insight to the game demo and I will stop pointing out how stupid you look.
And you are......who again?Don't hate me b/c I threw a joke in Windbag and you took it personally. Don't attempt to make a mountain out of a mole hill b/c you want to be a hero. Admit it little buddy, hate me b/c I used to play EYSA. Thats where this started did it not? An individual plays a PC wargame that you dislike and joins your forum. "HOW DARE HE." I'm sorry you feel this way son but I love "pointing out how stupid you look."
Upon deliberation Windbag, I have decided that I love you brotha and look forward to more of your whimsical charm and banter.

After posting my leftist BS comment, it took you this long to come up with a rebuttal Windbag and that's the best you could come up with? Sorry, but I am not a leftist. God I wish. You have to stop attacking me after every post Windbag b/c I'm getting the feeling you dislike me so.
BTW What is a Wallet Assault forum?

Oh Windbag, just when I thought we were becoming tight. What's up with that little buddy? The Mrs and I invite you over to our crib for a Sunday barbecue up here in lotus land, and you have to viciously attack your ole buddy without provocation. I truly am surprised and disappointed.Originally posted by WindyCity:You can run with both assumptions.

Please someone start another demo thread. You can never have too many demo threads that every member doesn't contimplate glacing at. It;s like a bad accident on the side of the road. You just have to have a quick look.

*MY* source is a bit higher up than an "email confirmation" too.Originally posted by ColumbusOHGamer:NO!!! *MY* source is a bit higher than your sources.

Guys sorry, I just got home from the office. New update. Demo has been delayed again due to that nagging upload glitch. Tech's are working hard for you so give them some slack. Should be up by tomorrow.

Hof,I am guessing this is lawrence Jameson, AKA Sabot. Tank veteran of US Army and tank historian. I'm glad to see he is alive and well. Haven't heard from him since GIC days and Ryan's Forums.
