  1. Thanks, for the response. By the way I am enjoying the demo with what time I have to play it. As long as I can download it before the weekend alls fine. For even a few more days wait with extra free missions being added and a patch I'm not going to complain. Besides I have the demo to keep me busy. BTW nice tutorials.
  2. Can't ya all see it... look far into the horizon ..in close proximity...at any moment now, as you look into your monitor, cycle after cycle...as a certain chain of data makes its way to the open ports of your firewall. keep hitting that refresh button.
  3. Great, like I've been saying all along. Now we can look forward to coming home in the middle of next week after a long hard day at work; clicking the download button and going to bed; waking up the next morning to turn off the computer and going straight to work. But we'll still save $10 and when that time comes we'll finally have it...for the cost of the average game and probably what it will cost when its finally out in the stores.
  4. Yeah, wanting it any sooner and not having to wait longer is not cool around here. Vaginua has made himself well accepted by adopting the current tenor of his peers. So be patient and better yet request that we can all wait even longer. That would make many here very happy it seems. [ April 13, 2007, 04:10 AM: Message edited by: FaxisAxis ]
  5. And I will be ... exactly 43 upon the first day that we will be able download this game. You can all thank me for being born on that day. I Thought I was the only old fart around here. Glad to see I'm wrong, and that some of the younger guys here appear to be somewhat mature and wise- at least in respect to what types of games they enjoy and why they take an interest in them.
  6. It will be worth the wait. [ April 10, 2007, 06:16 PM: Message edited by: FaxisAxis ]
  7. Well if today is the 10th, and the release date is the 19th, we have at most 9 more days to wait til downloads open. [smile] Only 9 days. augh! you're going to hate that. only 9 days; you'd think we were talking about tomorrow and that we've only been waiting like a month or something.
  8. No, By all means take your time, we all seem to love waiting around here. Lets download it next month - make that possibly next month, with no promise, but more than likely end of next month, beginning of the following at the latest. As long as we get our $10.00 off who cares we can wait forever.
  9. Are you sure?..not too many great thinkers in here! [big Grin] And that includes namely you nidan1 But we all love you anyways
  10. The discount is the average retail price today for a PC video game K-boy. 40-50 dollars. Its $53.00 with shipping -like buying a game with sales tax. put that little point on your head. Valgua: "Wow. You are really a wise man. I'm impressed. You are able both to fix the release date and the price of the game. Cool. Are you able to design it too? I don't know why I'm losing my time with Battlefront when there are such stars as you on the forum. [Roll Eyes] Apparently some of us aren't aware of this and sadly I guess you count as one of them. This is the price and I certainly didn't fix it that way. Well don't lose anymore time come on over you are invited to my easter celebration where you may watch some TOW videos on my very impressive 24 inch LCD.
  11. The discount is the average retail price today for a PC video game K-boy. 40-50 dollars. Its $53.00 with shipping -like buying a game with sales tax. put that little point on your head. We will get a nice big manual with it though. Anyways lets all be patient...some more. This is a game of patients and possible disappointment and after all its just a game. "Pre-orders will open for download a few days before regular orders": maybe the same day as my birthday, being its exactly a few days before the 19th. At the same time: a demo of the game and AND the full game-(which probably has the demo in it) Think I'll go watch some more trailers while you guys work on the sales tactics and legalities.
  12. Moon: "Wargod, at some point it will be shipped to retail, but probably not before the end of the year, or maybe even only next year." Ok, I don't remember reading this. So at least we'll have it way before any of the stores do.
  13. Yeah, the demo download will be released around the same time as the download for the game?? for those who preordered (??) I don't understand why? What's the point and they make it sound like we will get an early sample of it through a demo we can download. That's what we get for preordering, might as well wait a moment longer and just download the full game when it is practically in the store
  14. Iplaygames2, you and some of the rest of you need to go back to about two weeks and read some of the messages in this forum. It was said and I'm not going to find it for you. Are you serious? That you don't mind waiting that long for a game you you have waited long enough for and preordered Also, weather or not you want to believe it Stardock did in fact allow downloads a week or two before the release. But as moon said they can't release it any earlier and for what ever reason if they can't they can't and so if that's the case I guess I can't hold it against BF either. But I'm not a happy customer either. And for the blind, sucking fanboy who doesn't even know what is going on think a little before you call someone ignorant; you have just proven your own ignorance ask yourself what the point in a preorder is when you aren't going to get it anytime sooner than the released date. Unfortunitly game forums in general bring out a lot know- it -all- punks; seems we have a lot of know it all twenty something year olds these days who are wrong most the time and really know nothing. Parent and teachers of today make you proud fools. You're right Johnny, because you my kid and your American. You're always right and you know everything do and say whatever stupid things you want to.
  15. Who cares by now. Beginning to wish I never preordered the dam thing. I'm bored with the videos and pictures, gameplay discussions mere mention of TOW this old revamped game and my interests are elsewhere now and in other games. Galactic civilizations II Dark Avatar's stardock allowed preorder customers to download a couple weeks before the game hit the shelf-that's what I call taking care of your fan base. If its ready-and it dam well should be by now!..(uhum excuse me) - what's the prolonged hold up? some kind of sales strategy? Moon, or Madmat when asked how soon the demo would be available for download said it would be right before the full game download which would be in a matter of "several days not weeks" and this he said two weeks ago right after the announcement. What's the point in preordering when you're only going to get it a few days before the release? I'll never do that again here. I'll wait for some professional reviews and forum opinions. I've got to admit nevertheless though I am looking foreword to CCSF more than any game I've seen or heard about in the past couple years, and there's a lot of them on my most wanted list. I guess that's why I was eager to get this game even though I knew they wouldn't have that much in common, I was thinking at least it would be released in due time. But the release for CCSF might as well be never. Its just a hypothetical dream game. For it is harder for Battlefront to complete and release a game than it is for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.
  16. Neskire, Thanks for the info, sounds interesting and if they make a 3-D versions of the older games in the series that would certainly add a great amount of appeal to it. What I hear is that it is so realistic that the marines use it for strategic training.
  17. Give it some time. But I guess that is the end of a loooong wait........ So, April it is!! No, its the beginning of another long wait a month and a half or more...by then who knows what.
  18. We are counting down now. With tomorrow as the last day of the month
  19. Speaking of CC3 "Cross of Iron", Its been out now I think for over a week its avaible through download. Has anyone been playing it? I see alot of people here talking about CC a lot and was wondering if any body here has it and what they think of it. Isn't it more of a tactical sim closer to CMBB and CMAK? I remember my brother giving me one of them for my birthday. "Battle of the bulge" I think it was. And at the time I was shocked that it had no real graphics I was more into games like half-life and commandos-Commandos what an awesome game especially commandos II, III was a disaster almost unplayable they ruined the series with that final release! To bad they don't make those games anymore. I remember being up front with my brother and saying: don't think I'm gonna play this "stripped down blue print of a game."
  20. Interesting review. Certainly a game with great potential provided the fan base is still there and don't just whine hopelessly about what's not working. They can always play a nice polished bug free game out of the box like call of duty or battlefield 2 as dull restricted and straight forward as a bowl of cereal.
  21. And yet another for 1900x1200. I have a dell 2405
  22. AA reminds me of the discussions over the last iterations of the freeware RO, in terms of suppressive fire and accuracy. It doesn't seem to have learnt those lessons. And as far as overall realism is concerned, when the defender abandons his positions and runs into the open, against a prone attacker, the result should not be parity in losses. The game is does not stress suppression as some games tend to. Which is fine and to some degree realistic but another type of game. CMBB I think is alittle to obsessed with surpression and moral as does brothers in arms. When you are lying down you may find it harder to hold the gun steady especially if the gun is extended away from you body. Yes running out into the open is a no no. If you witnessed this in AA, it will be fixed soon enough with a patch or a mod. Other than something like this the AI is pretty dam good contrary to what others may falsely claim. I claim they just suck and the AI is handing them their butts time and time again and naturally they don't like that. The AI doesn't fool around they just take you out; they are very aggressive and I've had them sent support and flank me many times. If you fire a shot they don't pretend to not know you are there for a while, no in fact they don't waste any time reponding to you.
  23. Yeah, Pattiboy, if you want flashy action games that are on the best seller list with all kinds of unrealistic sensational crap and simple run and gun rambo hericism, with shallow menus and easy to us controls that hold you by the hand, then, I don't know what you are doing here in a forum for realistic wargames. I suggest you stick to call of duty 1, 2, 3... medal of honor or some dumb down arcade twitch game like gears of war where you are simply handed a roll where a story plays out and you are the inevible wining hero against all odds with out having to really work strategically for it. Like he said just because you don't understand it and can't handle it don't say its no good. people like you don't have the patients for games like this and should give them more than a few minutes or half hour and just admit they don't have the patient for this sort game.
