  1. Originally I wasnt sure I was going to buy CMSF then I preordered. While I enjoy playing the game I just dont have my teeth into it the way I have with CMBB and CMAK. I am sitting on the fence as regards the Marine Module. I hope Battlefront keeps at it, which I am sure they will. The patches have made it very playable. "A mistake is not an error unless one refuses to correct it."
  2. CMBB and CMAK are still on my machine and I have several PBEM games going with a couple of friends. I enjoy them both and cant see them being uninstalled for a few years to come. I bought CMSF but am too busy at work for the moment to give it the time it deserves. Just when its running well....(sigh)
  3. Many Thanks to the team A considerable improvement in performance and runs smoothly with "Better" graphics setting in Allahs Fist, 20-65 FPS. Something that couldn't be achieved prior to 1.04. Intel Core2 2.13GHz 2046MB ram 8600GT 256Mb WinXP SP2 Only a couple of days ago I loaded nhancer, a graphics tweaker, and got a few FPS performance boost with 1.03.
  4. Yes...with the same potential for improvements as CMx1
  5. Nothing here in Brisbane, Australia but I am working my way though the tutorials in the download. .....And loving it!
  6. I had some serious problems running CMSF for the first time. Frame rate was lousy, lag, everyone seemed to be talking at once and it was unplayable. My system is as follows Windows XP Professional SP2 Gigabyte 965P-DS3 IntelĀ® Core2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz (2 CPUs) Memory: 2046MB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8600GT 256.0 MB Nvidia 158.27 drivers Nvidia Control panel settings Antialiasing/Anisortopic are set to application After reading comments in other posts I updated my system, rebooted and CMSF runs very well. I used Autopatcher to update my system and for me the solution seemed to be in patches.
  7. Its 420pm the 27th July here, I am leaving work in half and hour and would like to start my download after I get home so it is ready for installlation after dinner. I have been watching CMSF videos to quench my thirst....enough ....please release it....please!
  8. I preordered and have been checking, in what can only be described as, "obsessively". That BF is taking a bit more time to try and sort out last minute problems is fine with me. Better to release a happy to go product than a buggy vein buster I cant remember the last time I was waiting so excitedly for an arrival, oh that's right it was my daughter. And she didnt arrive early either. My wife asked what I was doing checking the emails so often, so I told her my sorry tale, then she brought me a beer for me and told me to relax.
  9. I'm 47 from Brisbane Australia. I stumbled across CMBO and CMBB way back, then completed the set with CMAK. Plug in the mods and I never tire of them. I have a couple of friends with whom I have several PBEM games going at any one time. Luckily my wife enjoys board, console and computer gaming and is happy with her own computer. For xmas I got told to go out and buy a computer game for myself. Nothing really appealed to me at the time but I knew what was coming. Now I have my preorder in for ToW and am waiting for permission to download. I still have Squad Leader from Avalon Hill in the box I bought it in from 1979. With nearly all the pieces. Strategy games have been with me since my first computer and include Tiger on the Prowl, XCOM, V for Victory, CC, Combat Command Danger Forward, Korsun Pocket and COTA.
