  1. Just bought the Marines Module again yesterday, thinking it was the British Addon!!! Don't ask. Basically, I went to the store, saw it was there then followed some other lnk. Wife was chasing me to get out the door because we were going out and BAM! Marines Module No2 bought! What a donkey. Battlefront...is there any problem with me giving this away to someone else...you know, for Christmas? I don't need two download copies of the Marine module :-)) If so, what's involved? Just giving them the download and the key? Thx
  2. Sorry if this has been asked...just eager to get my hands on it :-)
  3. Sorted. Turned on DEP for all Essential Windows Apps, rebooted and it was fine. However, I'm pretty sure that setting messes with a couple of other games that I have (good to know!?)...I'll see. I'm certain this setting was switched off and I was able to turn it on for selected apps (including CMSF) and it worked previously!
  4. I have just tried adding the CMSF.EXE to the DEP list and now, although I do not get the message, I do not get anything...it doesn't load at all...not even an error now.
  5. Just upgraded my computer and am going through the process of reinstalling everything. I installed my Gamersgate version of Combat Mission Shock Force. Then downloaded and installed the GamersGate 1.10 patch (all Inclusive). Then downloaded and installed CM:SF Marines. I then get the error : CM Shock Force.exe - Application Error The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to Terminate the application. Any ideas? System is WIndows XP SP3 4GB DDR2 RAM Intel Quad Core 2.33GHz nVidia 8800GT OC2 512MB **EDIT** MEANT TO SAY WHen I do click OK, it then shows the message a second time. Clicking on OK again does get rid of it.
  6. I like the modern settings (although would like some "proper" enemies)...I don't need to go back to WWII for this engine But hey...I'll go where the flow takes me!
  7. I know this has been reported by another player...but just wanted to add it happened to me also. Second mission in the campaign, I won, with 2 killed, 2 wounded and 3 missing...but more strange than that, I killed 2 enemy soldiers...and there were none left alive...so the entire enemy consisted of 2 soldiers??? It may not be a bug ...but thought I'd better tell you anyway. In reply to that posters message, you said you'd deal with it in another thread. The other thread (or "a"nother thread) I noticed you said there had been some campaign tweaks, but for those downloading on Sunday, it wouldn't be a problem as the download would already include the updated campaign file for whatever changes you made...well I downloaded on Sunday, so if your "campaign edits" had anything to do with this issue, I don't have the fix.
  8. mmm...only just noticed I have 1 post to my name (wondered what the "Welcome to the forums" was about...thx. As it happens, I've been around here quite some time...I defo have posted more than once, but I wonder if I had to "recreate" my login, 'cause I also don't remember my login as being BillyR...I thought I was registered as BillyRiley! I've been hoping for a "restricted reinformcement" option for sometime....oh well. Oh well....thx for the welcome anyway
  9. Great game. Great addition to the original. Well done. A couple of things though, one I noticed, the other I'm not sure about but would like you to clarify... 1. When I completed the first mission in the campaign, I had destroyed a couple of buildingd with airstrikes...when it progressed to the second mission, the buildingds were back in play. Any chance, in the future, you can have battlefield damage stay as the missions progress? 2. I would like to create a scenario where reinforcements are due...but they only arrive IF an objective is taken and held. IF the objective is retaken by the enemy, I would like the reinforcements to be cancelled until such time as the objective is recaptured...is this possible? I've been looking and hoping for this feature for some time now (since CM:BB) Well done on this great addition. Very reasonably priced and plenty of fun to be had. Thx
