  1. I had the same problem with my CD. I couldn't use windows explorer to search the CD and it just spun and spun in the drive. The only advice I can give is to put the disk in and walk away - come back in a hour and the Install Window should be there. [ December 03, 2005, 08:51 PM: Message edited by: tornado ]
  2. And thank you both for being civil.
  3. After re-reading the discussion that Stalin mentioned it appears that it still doesn't explain how a pilot with draw extra card x 3 can draw between 4 to 8 extra cards in the course of a game. Anyone besides Strider and me experiencing this?
  4. I didn't even have the game in October - and seeing as how the original posting was on October 6, how would I know this? But thank you for letting me know the problem was addressed. I'll have to see if the problem only occurs when I am flying escort missions.
  5. Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that if an opposing pilot has the "draw extra card" ability that they seem to get more draws than they should? I'll give you an example that has happened to me in Single mission and campaign mode- against a pilot with draw extra cards x 3, I KNOW the pilot was able to draw an extra card no less than 5 times. I've been against pilots with draw extra card (with no multiplier) and they have been able to draw at least 3 extra cards. I know this isn't because their wingman has Anticaption (or any other ability) becasue the draws come in the middle or toward the end of their turn. This occurs with both the Leader and Wingman. This has happened only when I play the system, it has never happened when I play a "live" opponent. Am I crazy?
  6. Thanks Brian. I just got the full version and I feel like an idiot for not thinking of looking at the manual. Very helpful.
  7. I’m a relative newcomer to Down In Flames and I am unsure which skills are the best to purchase with my XP. Is there a list detailing what each skill does for the pilot/aircraft? By purchasing certain skills I have determined (I think ) that Natural Pilot adds 1 to the airframe, Check Six adds one card to Wingman’s defense. What is the advantage of Target Pilot, Extra Energy, Aggressive, etc? Any help is appreciated.
