Kobra for a budget card (two years ago it was 500 bux) the 9800pro rox. Right now he can get one for 150 bux easy. I can play everything I own at full detail. Wich is more than I can say for the crappy 5600fx I used to own. Besides I am waiting to see where the new technology is headed. Because it seems to me all they (Nvidia/ATI) have to offer is SLI, and pumped up older tech. Not new technology at all. Not worth 500 bux (and lots more) anyway. Klugman

I went ahead and bought the game. Not because of the crappy, content deflated English demo. I bought it because the russian demo really feels like a war is going on. That is when it isnt ctd'ing. Cant wait to get it. Judohedgehog I also wonder if they will fix the English demo. Kind of a let down.

Don_Rostov if I were you I would ditch that fx5200, and get a better card. I used to have a fx5600 and it was crap so I know. I picked up an ATI 9800 pro for 150 bux and it is awesome.

I dont even touch the English demo anymore. Its worthless garbage compared to the Russian demos content.

I dont believe anyone needed "a great graphics engine" to be fully immersed when Steel Beast first came out. We were just happy to have a darned good Armored combat sim. For me realism is better than eyecandy. I still play Digital Integration's Tornado from time to time.

I tried to slide the missions from the russian demo into the English version, but to no avail. The Demo will not work at all then. I cant understand why they took all the good missions out of the English demo. I am going to buy the game, but would like to practice before I recieve it. The only thing you can really practice in the demo is driving and shooting ducks. At least in the russian demo you can get blown away. That is when it isnt crashing to the desktop.

Just a question. Why does the Russian demo have more missions? I was really looking forward to playing the Americanized version since the russian version ctd's all the time.
