Started a 2nd download attempt went to bed and guess what? Of course the download was interrupted! Starting again with breathtaking 100 k/s 18 hours to go! What a fu.. up buying a game digitally on friday and be able to play Sunday at best! I criticized the download speed a while ago in the CMBN support forum but all i got was an dismissive attitude! Of course it´s the costumers fault! In my mind the BF download server is an x286 with a 14k modem on the landline from 1992! 11 hours to go..... and by the way the download speed already sucked 2 weeks ago when i dowloaded 3.0 update for CMBN!

Just for the sake of the discussion just a little story why i think BF going steam would not be a bad thing! I bought Achtung Panzer eg. Graviteam Tactics and several modules a second time when they published the game on steam! ....and i just upgraded CMBN to 3.0 and purchased the Market Garden modul but the download took almost 5 hours and i have a 200 mbit/sec internet connection.

Am i the only one who thought that the newest videos some kind of sucked on a promotional pov. The graphic and the games seems to be very nice but the guy who played simply sucked! A big part of the time he coulden´t remember where he paced his units and was searching for them so the video consists mostly of erratic camera movement.

Yup, did the same, worked for me! That issue needs a patch!

Ich arbeite als Projektmanager bei einem Software Hersteller und habe Grade selbst das Problem das eine Software die im Mai an den Kunden gehen soll dauernd noch Bugs aufweist die vor Auslieferung gefixt werden müssen. Allerdings weiß mein Kunde das sich die Auslieferung seiner Software möglicherweise verschieben wird weil ich es ihm KOMMUNIZIERT habe! Ich bin der letzte der kein Verständnis dafür hat das man eine möglichst Bugfreie Sofware ausliefern will, allerdings weiß ich auch das es sowas einfach nicht gibt, vor allem nicht im Bereich der Entertainment Software wo es X Möglichkeiten gibt das sich unterschiedliche Systemkomponenten beim Enduser nicht vertragen. Den Hauptfehler den ihr gemacht habt sehe ich darin, dass ihr euch bis vor ein paar Stunden im Mäuseloch verkrochen habt und gehofft habt das ihr es rechtzeitig auf die Reihe bekommt, statt hinzugehen und zu sagen:" Sorry, wir haben noch einen fiesen Bug entdeckt das mit dem früheren download für die Preorder-Kunden wird voraussichtlich nichts!". Wenn ihr es doch geschafft hättet wäre es super, so bleibt nur ein fader Nachgeschmack!

Wie in einem anderen Thread gelesen wird das ja heute nix mehr! Ziemlich arm! Ich glaube sogar das es morgen auch nix wird! War mit Sicherheit meine letzte Preorder bei Battlefront!

Manche Sachen kann man sich auch "schönreden"! Mit einem Preorder-Release "Wochen" vorher hatte wohl ernsthaft keiner gerechnet, die meisten Leute haben, wie ich auch, wohl auf den Dienstag Abend gehofft und spekuliert. Das man versucht den Termin zu halten ist eine feine Sache aber es ist doch eher ein Armutszeugniss das bis jetzt nicht wenigsten mal was Konkretes gekommen ist. Ich persölich fürchte sogar das Ihr es am offiziellen Termin nicht schaffen werdet. Projektmanagement ist halt nicht jedermans Sache!

Hi, fürchte auch das es für uns mit dem "pre" in Preorder nicht weit her sein wird, es sei denn der Download wir innerhalb der nächsten Stunden möglich sein. Finde allerdings fein, das die "Hardcopy" vom EU-Land Irland aus verschickt wird, damit beleiben einem die Zollgebühren erspart.

Check the resolution level in TOW setup, the resolution set was 1600 by something, my monitor did not support it. Changed the resolution and is working fine on vista now. </font>
