I love he scale of the Battle of Russia and Desert 41...........are there any additional mods at this scale?
Are there any plans or existing mods that play the Grand Campaign at this greater scale?
-
No - they actually went out of there way to attack a sub picket in the gulf of Norway!!!
-
But what about the amphibious attack reference....?
Also, do the Luftwaffe Paratroopers always arrive at the same time if you select 'Unit' under scripts in your mod?

Anybody up for a game today (Friday)? Drop me a line - my ICQ is 247-564-024 and yahoo is richardhyder

I have noticed and have heard from others, that with the new patch, the RN is overly aggressive.
On GT 1 I am sending my uboats out to see in silent mode and they get attacked immediately before I get past the Norweigan coast!
Others have stated that they even get attacked by UK amphibious troop ships - while fully laden!!!!
-
This is a definite problem - anybody else have feedback?
-
I notice that the Allies - especially RN are very agressive - is that intentional?
-
How do you install this for the latest evrsion?

Was into 1941 and wanted to send German forces to North Africa via Itlaian ports, but system would not let me into Albania or Trieste....Is this is a glitch???
I did not invade Greece...
-
What is the difference between the two here?
-
I purchase and receive my LW paratroopers well before I commence an attack on Denmark and Norway - but even if I prepare the unit far in advance I cannot get into Norway directly unless I first jump into Denmark, prepare again and then jump - this wastes two turns and ruins any concept of surprise!
What am I doing wrong - or is it the game?

Help!
How many GT's ahead should I be positioned next to a port to be available for transport?
Also, how many GT's ahead should I prepare Airborne forces?
Finally where should said airborne forces be located - in a city, next to an air unit?? And what is their max range?
Thanks

Would love to try this out - send me the script changes or mod and I will test!

If I want to try script changes (for example, Blashy's 1939 mod)how do I do it?
Which campaign do I mod initially?
Should I merely cut and paste your scripts - or what?
Thanks

Blashy and All,
If I want to try the script changes without installing the mod(which does not work anyway)how do I do it?
Which campaign do I mod initially?
Should I merely cut and paste your scripts - or what?
Thanks

Ok, I have extraced the files. How do I now install the files?
Do you havre a private email so we don't have to encumber this forum?

Bottom Line - I have downloaded files from CMBO and CMAK.
What do I do to have a CM Pacific game?
-
Questions to Junk2:
* What is the difference between your CMAK mods and the Pacific based CMBO mods?
* Can they be used together - or is one for CMBO and one for CMAK?
* Once I have downloaded these files do they actually overwrite the original files so I can no longer access them?
-
Ok.
One LAST question, I have downloaded the McMM and registered for the site. Where, though is your Pacific mod?
Thanks
-
Ok - maybe I am dumb - I did a search for cmmods and found nothing???
-

Thanks

Naval Aggressiveness Solution - Scripts?
in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare

In doing some research, I believe you can keep the aggressive AI but change the scripts to reflect historical doctrine.
The Allies did not arbitrarily enter Norweign coast waters - the current scripts allow that. The Altmark was the only incident that did occur and this in fact convinced Adolf to launch Weserubung!
Additionally, German U-Boats regularly used Norweigan coastal waters as a route to access the North Atlantic. Something the Allies suspected but could do little about!
To reflect this, you need different Goal Positions for the (1) North Sea Blockade (2) North Sea Patrols (Bergen, Antwerp).
My question then is..............if the current goal position for (1) is 63,11 (Scapa) 68,8 (Midway point) and 72,10 (Norweigan Coast), what would you amend the latter (72,10) to to reflect the extent of the blockade or patrol?
Would going to 71,9 (2 hexes off the coast) allow this?
