Thanks stikky, I will! @Colt: Really?! Damn, now that I think of it, I do happen to catch myself looking for the 'camera angle' buttons when I am doing my usual spying on the neighbours... *shivers* ROTFL, no my name is not Y. S. Konyn... That would be a stupid name in dutch! I don't even dare to think about what first name Y would give me! Oh and gentlemen, I suggest we ban the word 'lazy'. Let's just say 'you're being a pilot' when someone's lazy, sounds more polite!
-
ROTFLMAO! Stikky, I am not lazy, I am a pilot! Anyway, I do think non-dutch speaking chaps here are still not going to know how to pronounce IJSKONIJN (which is, of course not spelled correctly in relation to my name), so it still stands... Phonetic version of my nick, who dares? (Dutch speaking people not allowed to participate) A tip: eas-ko-nean is not correct. Oh and diesel: did you run 'kraak' through a translation engine or what?
-
YK2, nice try, but.... *buzzer* wrong! Anyone else?

Hahaha what an angel you had there, even bringing in food so you don't have to quit playing! I don't dare doing that to my GF, ever! Now that I have the game, I've not been able to play very much, which is frustrating... and once you DO have some time, you discover that it might be a good idea to browse through the manual first, killing precious playing time that day... Nah, I am enjoying every minute spent on CMBB! -
Peng sounds like the sound kids make when they're playing cowboy and shooting their revolvers.
-
That my little friend, is something I'd rather not say, as I would be forced to kill you, or more correct, have someone kill you. You might want to check any dictionaries to run down my name... That is... if you can read, of course. Might be that you usually have someone read you these forums and you tell him/her what to write down, if your answers are truely yours to begin with. Will have to check that on my SuperGorku2000... oops, told you too much and you know what that means, right? BTW I am curious how you guys pronounce 'Yskonyn'. Anyone dares to write down a phonetic version?
-
MikeyD, it's v1.01 and CMBB is v1.02, so yes, I am going to have to download the patches, uhm actually, I already did beforehand Peng... what's a Peng?
-
Will do! Obviously there much dept in this game and even more to learn. Thank you for your welcomes and feedback.
-
Well I can't... Played yesterday night till 2 'o clock and have read through the first 75 pages of the manual, but unfortunately I have appointments today...
-
After a lame day at an exchange I got home quite tired, which you get by actually not doing anything all day except for playing with your big toe... I went upstairs, opened the door to my bedroom and was surprised by a package laying on my bed! I opened it and as joy filled my whole being I peeked inside... YAY! Battlefront's package has arrived! Quite soon I'd might add, only 7 days after my order was placed WITH books. So here I am, fully loaded for some serious CM play with: -CMBB -CMAK -CMBB Strategy Guide -CMAK Companion Just had to tell you guys this!
-
Hmm Stratos, you lucky bastard! You can probably pick your copy of CM Anthology up today, for me however, no retailers sell it so I am still waiting for my package to arrive by mail... Welcome to the community! *once again clicks to start the demo, <sigh>* BTW: I never knew SPWaW was a FREE game! Thanks for stirring my curiosity! Downloading it now, to kill the waiting time, like you suggested! [ November 15, 2004, 02:46 AM: Message edited by: Yskonyn ]

Indeed. Too bad these aren't values that can be altered easily in some sort of .ini file... -

Imagine yourself sitting in that trench... Don't be suprised you'd be doing really weird stuff yourself too, as if you're smoking too much pot too frequently! Like junk2drive says, ducking from MG fire is one thing, but staying put when mortar or artillery fire is pounding your foxhole or whatever you're in will make even Arnold Schwarzenegger run like hell! -
Taking over guns and the like

woops.. thanks for the info Wicky! Though I am beginning to question my ability to use the search functions! -
Hi guys, I am sorry if this has been brought up many times before, but I searched the forum without success on this subject and the documentation which comes with the Demo isn't all that detailed either, so here goes: Is it possible (and if so how) to let other soldiers take over a gun (for example an AT gun) whose crew is killed? I seem to lose my crew a lot and it seems kinda weird that no other individual would be able to command it. BTW I will maintain this one thread for more newbie questions i might have (hence the 'and the like' in the title of this thread) and cannot find the answer for with the search option. So please check this thread, 'o veterans, when it changes!

Thanks for the info, oh and murphus; Indeed I might never return from this venture, because you should know that I ordered the CMBB/CMAK combo, the CMAK companion handbook AND the CMBB Strategy guide! *evil grin* They will all arrive in one big package! LOL!
-
Ah blast, I thought it would arrive today because I missed the courier and found a DHL note, but it was only a new SD memory card for my Digital Camera which was broken and replaced... :-( I already thought that it was way too soon for the software to be here... Well, looks like I'll have to make myself comfortable playing the demo's for some more days. Anyway, I spent today downloading several MODs recommended here in the thread, but because DD's work and Gordon Molek's work are only to be found on CMHQ I thought maybe CMMODS wasn't the right place to go. Fortunately I downloaded most from CMMODS. Great job Tarkus on the interface MOD! I really like it from the screens I've seen! Definately going to make it to my harddisk once the games are here! *thumbs up* One thing remains a bit unclear: the winter MODs for the vehicles. Are those scattered around different MOD authors or are there packs available where you have 'all-in-one' packs? If they are scattered which authors should be checked then? I already got MikeyD's winter armors. Many thanks and good to be so welcome!

Hi guys, ordered the game yesterday, arrived today already! I've been following this thread and I wonder if MadDog's MOD Guide on CMMOS is still worth anything, or are those MOD's listed there inferior in quality to those mentioned in this thread? Thanks!
