  1. I played the original Medal of Honor on the playstation and it was a better game than the Current Medal of Honor series. Several of the stand out games have gone the same route as far as Im concerned and I am afraid that CM will follow suit with a lot of graphics and not much else. To me a game is a scaffold that boosts you up to where you can use your imagination to the fullest and this the present CM series does very well I hope that CMx2 will offer an even greater lattitude to our imaginations. smile.gif poppys

  2. The numbers of Shermans that were destroyed werent so much a function of their design and construction but the fact that they were used almost exclusivly in the offensive role. Even if the Pershing had been available in mid 1944 it would have sufferd a similar fate, just like the Panthers and Tigers that were used in the offensive role against the Americans and Commonwealth forces in Normandy, the Bulge, and the Lorraine campaings. poppys

  3. What I like about huge scenarios is that after the first setup and the initial 10 moves or so the game usually evolves into several small or medium battles all going on at the same time and the outcome of each effects the final loss or victory and you can switch troops and equipment back and forth between "sub battles" as reinforcements. I like the 120turn plus battles. It allows for more strategy than the small scenarios. poppys

  4. I just finished playing "Clervaux Deathtrap for the 110th Infantry Reg." as Allies against the AI. This is an huge scenario very well designed and with an excellent map. I got used to the infantry model for AK during this scenario but still wound up at the same place with a lot more micro managing of the squads. I believe that AK would play better with the BO infantry model. The armor model for AK is er morefuntoplay.poppys

  5. Thank you Skolman, The Garand is a well made rifle, good balance and not as heavy as I had anticipated, but of course after a 20 mile hike I might change my opinion on the weight. Sorry to hear that you cant own one yourself. :( It will take a few months to clean it up and correct some of the wear related problems with the front sight and then a safety and shooting instruction session at the local sportsmans association rifle range. And then practice practice. It would be interesting to hear from the CM community some first hand accounts of the K98 and the Enfield. poppys smile.gif

  6. And being able to assign a headquarters to an AFV and for that headquarters to be able to spot for the tank ie, 10m to the right and up a couple of degrees,...your rite on fire for effect, or just point and click like for mortars except that the AFV would have to have "line of sight" but being closed up couldnt see the target. This would keep the AFV under command and it wouldnt select its own target except when under threat.

  7. Show a track when vehicles travel thru scattered trees and other vegetation. When vehicles travel thru soft ground, mud etc. show tracks and progressive deteriation. show deteriation of dirt roads when they are under heavy use. When a vehicle boggs and is unbogged show the hole it was in and require that the vehicle use a different path. When a distant point is selected for a vehicle to travel to using a single waypoint have an option to select "cross country ok" or "stick to roads"

  8. Il try again. During an uphill battle hot key "shift A" is used to adjust the angle up so your not looking into the ground, but when you change the "view height" the view angle goes back to where your looking into the ground again and you have to use hot key "shift A" to raise the angle again. Is there any way to make the angle stay the same when changing view height? need a "hopeful" graemlin. poppys
