With Money Order
synystr replied to synystr's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Well, thats good enough for me! Thanks, I'm looking forward. -
Since this is a pre-order, if you send using a money order, in theory you could get your game as quickly as anyone else using credits cards, because by the time the game is going to be sent the money order has already arrived to you guys?

Interesting. Shall we just wait and see how the game fields our opinions. It may or may not be as good without the hex grid. Theres only one way to find out...

AI Pet Peeves from SC1
synystr replied to Edwin P.'s topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
The only reason Russia wasn't prepared for a German attack was Stalin, no doubt about it, so I agree with Retributar, that the Soviet Union shoulnd't at default be able to prematurely attack Germany. Dozer has a good point too, because Stalin had a blind hope that while Germany endulged in its fancys throughout western europe he could have more time to work with Finland, stationing 27 divisions, including 5 armored there. An example of some of Stalins steps to ensure Germany wouldn't invade Russia; -increased Russian supplies to Germany (made a number of facilities to improve trade of a variety of resources - stopped arguing about the Russo-German frontier in the Baltic area - he enpunged all critisism of Germany from the Soviet press, let alone of his own nation - he withdrew recognition of the Norwegian, Belgian and Greek governments in exile, and - expelled the Yugoslav ambassador from Moscow Hmmm, nervous was he? -
Firstly, if of course this hasn't yet been suggested before, will you be able to use your advantage in naval power to create a blockade of a port. This could either reduce the unit's supply capability, or its effectiveness in battle that is in the adjacent city or area. Secondly, If lets say the Unites States had a surplus of war materials (ie MPP), and the USSR is in much need of supplies, like it was after its demoralizing defeats throughout 1941, can you transfer them among each other. Also, Germany could make an effort to prevent this from happening, by itself harrassing sea routes and naval traffic. Like mentioned before, I havn't quite had the time to skim through 11 000 posts to see if this has been mentioned before, so excuse me if this is old news.

Minors dont fully Surrender
synystr replied to Mr.Dozer's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Free Polish units, free French units obviously and even Free Greek units contributed to the war effort. I think that its a great idea to allow the transfer of a certain sized unit from a conquered nation to that of Great Britain and the Allies. Of course, after Poland capitulated, their co-operation with the Allies was merely at their discretion, the soldiers that is... -
Thoughts & Comments on HQ Units
synystr replied to Edwin P.'s topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
The Allies had a key advantage in intel most certainly, that being the Enigma leak, and took advantage of the absence of German commanders on a variety of occasions. Often, the Germans found themselves "caught with their pants down". I think the Allies should have the ability to crack the Enigma Code, and Axis to protect it somewhere throughout the game. This is merely a suggestion, and likely not the finest one there is, I'm still a newb when it comes to this stuff. -
Sounds interesting, plase send the scenerio, maybe a bit late o well: synystr@hotmail.com

Generally how much longer would an order of a game from lets say...Western Canada, using mail order take, than the other method of credit card? It has been about three weeks, no luck...

Saying its 1-4 weeks to order to canada is a bit long, candian customs bad or not. Just wondering if this is an over exaggeration or what. I am in Alberta.

Is Strategic Command sold in Canada in stores?
-
I really liked the demo version of the first game, but I am not able to buy the game through mail or credit card simply due to "house restrictions". I would be willing to buy it in North America, Canada to be exact if it was sold, but obviously things just aren't that easy, and I don't expect any surprizes that it will not be sold in Canada. If it is not, which I painfully know is the main probability I don't know where I could at least try to find it, pawn shops, or whereever... [ June 22, 2004, 09:48 PM: Message edited by: synystr ]
