Ok, No post from Derek, He'll probably post twice, or we'll abandon the AAR.
Axis throws everything at Poland, and DOW Denmark. Allies make stupid mistake, and Poland will fall next turmn. darn, I'd really like a replay for stupidity option sometimes...

Allied air killa an army, but the front is deep in the west, and allied air take losses. In russia, a corps is killed, but russian counters are weak.
In the west, a panzer army is destroyed by german ground forces, and the air is reinforced.
In the east, ground and air kills a few Russiens, no real ground won, but no problem. Russian lines will crumble soon.
Southern Russia: The 2 remaining cities are facing superior armies. Italians+Rommel will take one from the south, with airsupport, and the Northern one (Grosny?) Is threatened by the army group soth, both expected to fall within 2 turns.
Italian navy leavs the Med, and are ready to kill some allied ships.

Ah well: a caresless positioning of the KM allows the allies to send both gniesenau and sharnhorst to the m´bottom, me bad! German surface fleet is no more. Also: superior allied air take out Brest. The bridgehead is established. darn.
Russian army counterattacks in the east and destroy a forward German army.
The situation feels grim.
Time to retaliate.
Understrength sub withdraws to einforce and retaliate.
Italian corps take southern mine in Russia.
Sevastopol taken, Rostov under siege.
Southern Russia is in serious peril.
French linesare rinforced and strengthened, ready for the allied attack.
All is quiet on the western front.

Operation Overlord is launched, the Americans have landed in France! Fierce airbattles, but inconclusive. Brest holds, and Italian reinforcements are on their way towards the german defensive lines. The allies have brought a lot of armour, and are supported from airbases in southern england, and by their carriers. USA have jets 3. GB4 and germany 5.
Agressive russians try to seis´ze the moment, but the German lines hold..
Sevastopol taken, and Rundstedt nov looks east, toward Rostov. Germany continues to punch holes in the Russian lines. The offensive in southern Russia is slow, due to terrain, but several oilfields have been taken by the brave Italians.
In france, The Germans not the dominance of armor in the allied landing forces and decide to dig in, reinfiorce the air and wait for a few expendables, I mean Italians to spearhead counterattacks.

The Russians strike back! Minor losses recieved.
And American landing craft are spotted outside the French coast. Here we go!
Istan bul taken.
Leningrad falls. slow advance in the east, buildup of lines in the west.
Turkey surrenders.

Russian withdrawal continues, but i guess this is the last stand. RAF still silent.
Germans advance in Russia, and reach aoutskirts of Moscow, Russian losses are mounting. Mines south Kharkow captured.Distance, supply and partisan rearguard are the factors that are slowing the advance at this point.
Italians take Tiflis.
Axis air harass Turks and Russians.
And environmental Swedish Rocket battery starts pounding leningrad
- No problem reiver, I figured you were joking, but the truth is, I'm not sure I _need_ more air, that would leave my ground too weak, and hey, I have rockets now!
And thanks, I'm also enjoying this game, You're a very nice and honourable opponent, and of course we have to have a rematch, whoever wins this one.

The RAF stay silent, strengthening for the invasion?
Almost entire Russian army retreats, and leave Smolensk empty???
Ankara falls. Rommel and Balbo looks to the North. No surrender yet though.
Smolensk falls. general push east, heavy Russian losses.
Rundstedt is assigned to take Sevastopol and Stavropol.
LW moves east to get back in range.
-reiver. Well, that bid is a tad too high for me.
And OK, no more air, I'll have to resort to rockets then, gotta spend the MPP's somewhere.... Carriers? :cool:

The usual allied bombardment, now a bit intercepted, will work on that.
Ezurum captured in Turkey. 2 more Turkish corps destroyed, Ankhara emptied.
Rommel personally captures Baghdad
Kharkow falls. Smolensks situation is grim, and a breakthrough between Smolensk and Leningrad is widened.
A forceful thrust in the North combined with a southern threat. Russias situation is rather bleak.
Siberian army transfers

The axis finally surrender.
This was largely a containment game. contain the axis until Russia comes. And USA never enterd the war.

Russians roll in. transpords ready to invade italy at several points. Navy doing its job.

attacks along the frontline, those mountings really make the going slow.
Italian rogue corps killed, british and French sail to threaten coastal areas.
More Russian air puschased.advancing a bit in Yugoslavia, have a lot of troops that cant reach the frontline, might as well get some experience….

Attacks along the line. A carrier arrives in the med theatre, so does the Russian cruisers.
Russian air starts to take its toll. Swiss surrender.
Allies pound away across the entire front, no real progress, apart from Marseilles, evacuated to shorten the Italian line I guess. Navy bomards away an Italian air that was left out of supply on sicily???
The corps railway from GB is well underway. Marseilles port will also provide landing corps to help speed up italy’s surrender.
Tech breakthrough! Russia gets AT 1

November I think.
A bit uninspired, I never liked kicking a man when he’s down, but this is the way Exel wants it.
Italians decide to fight for the med. Take Tripoli. The navy is now in the med, but not in position to strike yet.
GB decide to ship a corps a turn instead of the HQ, just to keep the Italians honest in the med. Allies attack along the line. No breakthrough yet. Swiss and Yougo DOW, mostly to expand the frontline. Swiss holds, and I’ll get around to beating Yougo eventually. More Russian air, and a new HQ

Reorganizing the troops to break through the lines. Navy is entering the Med.
Russia think that rocket tech would be cool to have, just in case they ever want to go into space after eating up Italy….

Italians take up defensive positions on their border.
Berlin falls, red army head south.
GB&F assigned western Italy, Russia assigned eastern Italy.
New HQ’s for France and GB should appear next turn. Russia has over 1500 MPP’s to spend, I’m sure I can find something to do with them…

Germans fight for Berlin, and manage to kill a tank. I have more.
Italians take Greece and prepare to defend Italy.
Russians pound Berlin, and the troops trying to hold the west and southern areas, Slaughtering Germans in droves. German army in Germany are down to 1 fullstrength, and one 50% army in, and next to Berlin.
Berlin estimated to fall next turn.
I suspect that the finns are marching on the northern Russian town, I hope they take it, as that would transfer the Siberians, giving me more air and HQ for free!
