Ive been playing it since I got the D\L from BFC on Saturday (stupid timezone differences
) and Ive been regularly finding its 0100 in the morning and going "just one more turn then I'll go to bed" .Basically I like everything thats been mentioned in this thread , only problem Ive got is the pathing and I get around that pretty well with copious use of way points
I can't help but think this game can only get better , same as its predecessors and be one of the great wargames.

This is what happens if it's not an armoured vehicle you try to hide behind
one of my strykers was firing at the jeep in screenshot and the .50 bullets were punching through (you can see some sparks dropping down from the jeep),hitting the wall behind it and slamming back into it , the shot shows 2 tracers passing each other

Ok I dont know if this has been asked before but there doesn't seem to be any Artillery smoke , Ive searched the manual and there seems to be no option.

Just a thought (haven't tried the scen editor yet), but wouldn't "Static" tanks be the dug in ,semi buried types? - basically a tank pillbox.If so , then you'd probably have to place them first then have mobile forces for your reinforcments.

Ive discovered I have a love/hate relationship with I.E.D's - first time you run across them in the campaign , its a real case of OMG WHAT THE F... WAS THAT (disabled 2 strykers and trashed 2 squads
) , this massive explosion just erupted and Im left sitting there stunned , only figured what happened after I replayed the turn.Second one was even more impressive - one of my infantry units spotted one so i ordered a stryker to open up on it with a mk19 from about 400m useing area fire , couple of turns later theres a massive boom and the taxi has gone bye bye , funny thing is , I forgot to cancel the firing order for the stryker so it kept chugging away at the area , next round theres another boom as another I.E.D's found , which this time causes a 3rd one to go off as a secondry - I am sooo happy my guys spotted that first one because that little lot was right where i was heading. -
3 to 2 , a couple of minor bugs with vehicle pathing but once a couple of patchs are out then I reckon it'll be a 1

its a bird , unluckiest critter in the world there :eek: if you watch the slomo carefully you see it get caught in the blast while trying to fly away and flop to the ground.
