*Watches Aces sharpening her sword* Come here, lad and bring my sword. Kneel. In the name of Berli and myself, I do hereby, declare you knight. *touches flat of the blade to both of Aces shoulders* Go forth and sin some more. Now rise. *kicks Aces in the fork* That won't hurt as much now that you have your armor. Congratulations. =)

Where in Rip Van Winkle's beard entangled toes is my feckin turn?

And no, I did not know that. [seuss grog on]Got the reference for that bucko?[/seuss grog off] Interesting.

  3. Kitty, oh most radiant mistress and true paragon of everything womanly, I come forth with a report on my taskings...please dont fret about the blood stains on the deck, nor the bits trailing in from the forward hatch, they should clean up with a bit of bleach...a sound victory for the other side mi'lady.

Oh how I could regail you for hours with stories of daring do if there were any and the nonexistant heroism of my glorious forces as they rampaged trampling each other in an attempt to flee across the field of honor setting a new land speed record heading for the hills outflanking and outrunning those of my foe, but realize you are results oriented and probably not interested in the tiresome details.

So to sum up, I smacked Mike soundly with a wet noodle apparently about the head and shoulders and scattered his forces as they vainly attempt to hunt mine down to the winds.

Now, what deed dost thou require of this humble supplicant...besides change my sig line again, just noticed that requirement...next?

Who the hell is George Antrobus? Is he another Ernie Kovacs character? Or Lar's uncle?

Come on...the lawyer part, I'll give ya that, but the Republican snipe, that's hitten a wee bit below the belt

I know, I know. We hate to think that anyone we know could be one of them, but I tell you, it does happen. I think it's because parents aren't doing their jobs and paying enough attention to their kids' lives. If you don't pay attention to them, they'll find someone who will, and they'll end up in the Republican party. Only love and firmness can stop that sort of thing.

Perhaps if we had a constitutional amendment banning them from marrying? Of course, they would still be permitted to have some sort of simple, civil ceremony to express their commitment to each other...

  6. Updates from the front:

Mike from the waffle side of the house continues to pound my poor company with what looks to be an entire division with native levy support in an evil scenario known as "Hell in a very small place", conceived of and given form by our very own Berli. I do not think my pioneers will last much longer as they dig in for a defiant last stand. My panzers litter the battlefield like giant slabs of homogenous steel swiss and are a painful reminder that the 2cm will not penetrate a T-34 from any angle.

Wally Bob and I are staring across meters of open desert trading vehicle for vehicle. Think he is up at this point, but this will soon change. Green crews suck, by the way, especially when shooting 5cm pellets. I can see little green helmets bobbing in laughter across the lines as yet another shot goes wide. Juries still out on this one.

Nidan1 and I continue to dance around a small town outside of Anzio. He has done his level best to implement an urban renewal project the likes of which would be the envy of any city planner for a major metropolitan area. There is a trail of tears extending from his side of the map to the outskirts of this town, littered with the remains of an armored division apparently granted via the scenario. He has a couple of pieces left, including one Tiger, that will reach the end of their service lives shortly. After that, its sweep up time for the Shermans.

Berli...eh, I lost. Put an entire battalion through the grinder for a couple of buildings that weren't worth snot. As I look over the decomposing pixels of my troops, one lesson comes to mind...wait for the feckin machine guns. Live and learn I suppose.
