  1. Shrecks and bazookas are incredibly over modeled in CMBO as well. I remember 180m fantasy shots with shrecks, brewing tanks left and right. They had an insane hit chance ratio which was totally diminished in CMBB, and is probably worse in CMAK.

It seemed that patches for CMBO fixed alot of glitches such as that, Brent Pollack.
  2. Hey bradenwalks, if you like CMAK thers also CMBO(Beyond Overlord which covers the Normandy invasion to the fall of the Nazi Third Reich) and CMBB (Barbarossa to Berlin which covers the "Patriotic war" between Germany and Russia). Now you can be like us, when you sleep you'll dream about bombing the heck out of enemy soldiers. Welcome as well.

  3. Early on they get the StuG III (with 75mm gun), which in various versions was used throughout the war. Later on they got the StuH 42 with a 105mm howitzer.

Then let's not forget the "piece-de-resistance", the Sturmtiger!

Don't forget the Wespe, brummbar and Hummels. All good at lobbing shells at the enemy from "safe positions" i.e. hull down or covered by foliage and hiding.
  4. I'm seen units in on-fire buildings unaffected before, sitting there happily and watching the world go by. I've also seen units broken by being in a house that catches fire. Don;t know what triggers the differnce...

But sound like you did all the right stuff and just got unlucky.

Although i always blow the whole building up just to be sure

I guess its how close the flames are to them and if there are other factors such as 88mm shells smacking into walls inches from their heads ;) I think like it has been said before a fresh platoon was waiting just outside away from the flames and out of sight of you and moved when you did. I guess next time surround the house and have different units covering different areas of the house to suppress units from all sides in the building. If you have several mortars capable of firing smoke perhaps use smoke near the house just before entering.
  5. The longest winter : the epic story of WWII's most decorated platoon by Alex Kershaw is a good read even if it uses alot of propaganda drivel such as that Liebstandarte was originally concentration camp guards only instead of being formed as a bodyguard for Hitler. The Forgotten soldier by Guy Sajer as mentioned before is a good read.
