Anyone have a nice, balanced CMSF/Marines map? Preferably infantry dominated. Either side, anything goes. I´ll promise at least one turn a day.

That make sense?
Steve
Excellent! Thanks for the answer.

How did my innocent question about the timeline turn into a "when will CM Normandy be released"-thread.
I meant the timeline IN the actual game, like 6.6.-24.7.1944 for instance. I just would have been nice to know (or speculate).
-
Most likely June 1944.
Hilarious Redwolf! Remind me to challenge you to a friendly PBEM-game when CM Normandy finally is published... ;-)
And another thing. I had a very good reason for my question about the timeline but now I'm not gonna tell you.

Has someone mentioned a timeline for the coming CM Normandy? Or has it been discussed in a thread somewhere?

Rural QB map (dunno who's made it) is great for PBEM. My PBEM-friend and I just begun the second PBEM-game on that map. The first game was won by Syria (for the first time EVER in our Shock Force PBEM-history).
USA: 1 x Styker Infantry Battalion (minus one company © and only the M1130 and the M1131 Strykers)
Syria: 2 x Special Forces company + 1 x Mech Airborne Infantry + 1 x Recon Company.
The Airborne Infantry was a reinforcement arriving at 10. minute.
Small alterations for game #2, seems balanced enough at the time (at the 5. turn).

Or have I missed that thread...?

"Sacre bleu! Invaders! Ay moost attaq zem uith ekstreem prejudees!"
I'm surprised no one has yet commented on the Surrender movement command.
American 1: <grumbles> "The French...a bunch o' cheese-eatin' surrender monkeys!"
American 2: <trying to be conciliatory> "Still, they weren't Nazis*, at least."
* pronounced: NÄH-zees =P
DISCLAIMER: I think the French are okay, and I believe their reputation alluded to above is merely the result of the Germans being faster on their treads.
Surrender? That's nothing. I thought that the Collaborate-button might be too much... :-)
BTW, I love the french. And the swedes too.

I bought my Acer minilaptop to play the old CMx1 series and some other less iportant stuff (GPS, recording music etc). I think ther´s no way that Shock Force would run on those. The built-in graphicscard is the second major obstacle besides the 1.6 Atom. Forget it... But as a portable CMx1 battlestation it will work just fine.

Nice screenshot Tagge! Who said Finnish humor was utterly stupid and incomprehensible? Must have been a Swede
Steve
You are correct. It´s allways the swedes.
Goddamn swedes... ;-)

You could buy an external enclosure and an old CD-player to put in the external enclosure. Something like this: http://www.directron.com/sbtesu52.html
I have an old 4x CD-player in an similar enclosure and it works fine. The old 4x CD-player reads ALL CD's I throw in it. Slow, but failsafe...

My old Shock Force mouse pad is getting worn out so I made a new one. If anybody's interested I could post the bigass version suitable for printing (23 cm x 19 cm).
BTW, is this okay with BF?
