  1. Winamp can do it, just switch the output plugin to the diskwriter, and tell it where to put the wavs, then play the file you want converted.
  2. I'd be very happy if the new game was just an improvement on what Combat Mission has always been. I just want to see the game with more units, more options, better graphics and sound, just more of everything that makes the game fun to play. I think going to a different era would be a mistake, since CM has always been about WW2. Regardless though, I'm sure it will be a good game. The last 3 have been great, and I expect we'll see even better things as the new game comes along.
  3. Didn't the British have some massive thing set up along the coast to catch the water on fire in case of German invasion? They called that fougasse too. It was like a pipeline under the channel that could be turned on from shore, and the stuff that came out burned on contact with seawater. So it'd catch the surface of the water on fire once it floated up.
  4. I'm talking about the visibility of ordnance from a game mechanics standpoint. I, as the player, am having a hard time seeing the bullets. I'm not talking about how visible a real bullet would be on a WW2 battlefield. A few of you seem to be somewhat confused, heh.
  5. Anyone else noticing how much harder it is to see ordnance flying around when you're playing on a desert map? It really strains my eyes sometimes, especially bullets since they're yellow. It's really hard to tell where I'm getting shot at from when I play desert maps. Any possibility of having ordnance visibility improved in a patch, or maybe a mod?
  6. Congrats on the award, the game definitely deserves it. The reviews I wrote for CMBB and CMAK were both very positive
  7. hahahaha Kevin, I can't believe you went through the trouble of Photoshopping that
  8. Air support seems to be somewhat of a gamble. I've had times where it seemed like the plane couldn't miss, and took out a bunch of enemy stuff. I've also had times where the plane didn't show up at all, or even worse mistook my own guys for the enemy and bombed us. So yeah, it's a gamble. When they do good, it's definitely worth the points. But there will certainly be times where you'll wish you'd spend that extra 200 points on something else.
  9. Yes, they cost 1200 points, and yes, they take 3 turns to reload, but what other tank can kill 204 infantry in 3 shots? This was a 900 point battle (rarity was off so I could fool around). The computer was attacking, and I won with just a King Tiger and a Sturm Tiger.
  10. Any relation to Erich Topp? Kriegsmarine, yay.
  11. I'm a little stumped as to why flak will work against a tank. Isn't flak just an HE shell that flings shrapnel everywhere? How is that going to penetrate armor?
  12. Is it possible? I've yet to see a bridge in a custom battle, and was wondering if it ever happens.
  13. Well it wasn't a fear of being cooked alive, because the tank was knocked out, not abandoned. And even if it got in the engine compartment, wouldn't that just immobilize the tank?
