THE SC WORLD CHAMPION LADDER : APRIL 2003
Heavy Junk replied to zappsweden's topic in Strategic Command 1
Heavy Junk resigns from the ladder. I concede current games with the following players: Iron Ranger-Axis Terif-Axis -bid 200 Carl V M...- Axis Everyone I've met has been patient and nice to a realitivly new player and I appreciate it. However I dont have the time or desire to defend myself from accusations flung around about not finishing games. If you get into a fight with a skunk, you'll end up smelling like one. Somebody has to have the control over this stuff and "moderate" someone or something that is inflamitory(sp) and suspect. Regards to All Heavy Junk -

Liam (Axis) beats Heavy Junk- no bid -
Liam I e-mailed you after reading your reply in the opponent finder about our old game, I had no idea you had posted this ridiculous and insulting thread. I wont go into details about who was responsible for the delay in the game, lets just say , you have a short and selective memory. I will post the game as a win for you because I have no desire to continue. BTW , I have an e-mail link,as I'm sure most SC players do,your above post was'nt neccesary and I'm sure was'nt appreciated.

How many here have fallen sway to the power of CM
Heavy Junk replied to Canuck's topic in Strategic Command 1
Played CMBO in ladders and clubs for two years Canuck, great game! But time to move on, SC is becoming an addiction but HOI was a major disapointment, save your money. -
Forgive me if this idea has already been covered but.. It seems to me most players have developed a series of moves and stratagies, at the begining of the game, that is based on what is known of the opponents forces and locations. It occured to me that by introducing a random factor, it might make things a little less predictable. Example: The Germans get 4 subs in the Atlantic and the British get an extra Army and HQ in Egypt at the start. or the Germans start with level 3 tanks while the Brits have level 2 jets. The combinations are endless and can vary greatly. The Italians, Russians and Americans jump in with surprises also. The point is your never really sure what and where your opponent has (within historical reason)and it adds another aspect to the game.

Italian Gambit - answer to Heavy Junk's question
Heavy Junk replied to Batavian's topic in Strategic Command 1
Thanks for the explanation Batavian, Sounds like what I figured it would be. Italy is sitting there, exposed, before the fall of France...I dont think I would use this tactic though, seems to go agianst the spirit of the game. Regards HJ -

I am fairly new to SC, and thouroghly enjoy it! I have scanned some previous posts and am taking the good advice (Terif) on British and American use of reasearch points- Brits-jet aircraft and long range..Americans-antitank and hvy tank research. Any thoughts on Axis priorities in research? I also saw referance to the Italian Gambit but havent seen anything that spells out what that strategy is. I also got the impression it was considered a gamey ploy. Any advice or thoughts would be apreciated. HJ [ February 23, 2003, 11:26 AM: Message edited by: Heavy Junk ]
