I would think that fronts would be established for each of the sub unit players and action in those areas would be their responsibility.

  2. Moon, Hunter, and All Beta Testers,

How's this AAR ccoming? Will it be done by Monday?

How about a clue dealing with how the games play out?

On the CMC maps do the MEs tend to form defined lines?

Or do the CMC battle maps have pockets of MEs roaming around bumping into each other?

Are there many times when a Pz Battlion faces a inf platoon? and lopsided CMBBs?

Are there many battles where once joined, the boff sides keep funneling troops in to a meat grinder?

Or do the battles form and one side runs to fight another day??

    Inquiring minds need to know.

  3. I second Reichenberg guess (3,4,7,8)for the same reason - the RED box.

Here's a thought: in order to have a fight both sides will need to be within the same 2km box (the red box) But as long as your units stay on their side of the red line NO battle takes place until some one crosses over. This sounds a little gamey.

[lame joke on] Wasn't that a movie? The Thin Red Line [lame joke off]

Also it seems like the red lines could lead to a WWI type battle quickly.

    Map making question:

I understand how a 2x2 square map is used but it the battle crossed over red lines like the other guys guessed, the maps must all have edges that line up exactly.

What if the edges don't line up?

  4. I borrowed a few of these questions from Ceasar because they seemed important.

    - Do you model breakdowns, i.e. if you are moving tanks, do you get some form of attrition?

    - Do you model repairs, i.e. do some casualties (talking mainly vehicles here) reappear in later battles?

In supplies are there are 3 catagories

Bullets, Food and Petrol. How is each handled?

Is there resupply between battles? Is it treated like CMBB Operations?

Is Fatigue more than a matter of getting tried from running in a CMBB battle?

Will the troops get tired/weakened from 10 or 15 turns of continuous marching?

One request if there is any remote posibility of a CMBB up date, fuel usage/supply would need to be added. Hopefully fuel supply makes it into CMSF.

Will CMSF eventually tie into CMC or CMCx2 upgrade?

This is seriously going to help those players who want to take their gaming to the next level.

I am really looking forward to this a weekend gaming events where you get some mates together and can play a proper campaign.

    Good questions.

If the battle takes place in a specific CMC square. Then the fighting moves a few squares away and the following day returns to the original square.

Will the battle scars be there?

Will the tank hull be there?

Will there be any recovery of abondoned tanks like in operations?

  6. From the CMC site:

...Order units to entrench, be placed in tactical reserve, move out in combat formations or road march (travel move), rest and more.

When a CMBB battle is started the units will be deployed in the manner they were ordered in CMC? Or will there be a "free to place units" option at the start of each CMBB battle?

    Ambushing:

Also from the screenies there was the "be seen" mode. Will there be a "hide" order to greatly reduce the "be seen" distance.

Will there be a time when a CMBB is started and one opponent has no idea why it started because he's about to be ambushed? A convoy of vehicles crusing down the highway and in the woods a band of partisians with ATRs open up.

    Exiting a CMBB Map:

Can you exit the CMBB map and reappear on the adjecent CMC map hex?

hmmm, i never thought about sound in a CM game! CMx1 didnt got sound, so i dont need sound in CMx2 too.

whats the purpous? if you really want sound, than play you favourite stuff in winamp or whatever programm.

i play the game(s) to fight virtual battles, i dont need sounds in the backgound wich arent sounds of machinguns, shouting man, tracks, canons and so on!

i will hapylie play LeGrognards(spelling?), and listen to my field-chapel(is this the right therm? i dont know it in english). theres nothing against it.

i think the us soldirs are somewhat too overequiped with entertainment stuff, but surely they dont need humvee mounted getho blasters to keep em fighting.

so i will gladly go without music too! or turn it off, if some it provided with the game(waste of disk space!).

I thought this topic was opening sound not music during the game. The only music I want to hear during the game is those really cool birds chirping. ;)

A few possible additions to the starting music:

    War Pigs - Black Sabbath

Sky Pilot - Eric Burden and the Animals

    I second London Calling's selection:

Midnight at the Oasis - Maria Muldaur

  9. The premise for the 1st game is the US invades Syria to counter a coup.

The premise for Module #2 will involve the French sending troops to Syria to counter the counter-coup invasion by the US of A.

Module# 3 consists of the Russians countering the counter-counter coup.

Module #4 has the Chinese jumping into the fray.

This will be multi-player wargaming at its finest and it's gonna be good!!!
