First of all not cut off but taken prison and then escaped.If you were cut off but managed to escape and rejoin the main group/or escaped lat's say a battalion they weren't shot.Shot were whose who reatreted without hicommanders orders.Like some panzers advance and you leave your possition (you have nothing to kill pz. whith), it was considered as cowards, NOTE that wasn't average and most of russians fought till death.

I undearstand that there are weak points in armor etc. Still i didn't posted it because Panther won (i just described situation) But still what about armor? is differnce in 10 degree so huge? I'll run some more tests,just thought that someone had such expirience and can brighten it.

Su-85M like su-100 has a 75/50 front upper hull armor (dark green),Panther A(early) has a 83/55 upper and 63/55 lower front full armor,upper hull is dark blue, and lower dark green , but darker than Su.I undearstand that SU-85M/100 armor should be at least as Panthers lower hull,because it has 50 to 55 degree, but 75 to 63 mm of armor(a stupid question why colors differ?) or even little less than Panthers upper hull, but in game at range of 1080 SU-100 vs Panther loses ,SU gets partial penetration front upper hull ,Panther gets a front turret hit,(Su is shoked and Panther isn't) the secord hit from Panther and SU is knocked out.Am i missing something?

Spook: Yes you are right with than you need tanks and fast that some qualities will "fall".Still i know who to ask about russian optics on tanks/assault guns/tank destoyers and than i'll get the answer i'll tell the whole world .

Exactly why are they going to be equal. It could be established that a Panzer IID had the sort of sights that gave it "good optics." Can you establish exactly what sort of sights? Just because it is a later design, in a different country does not mean it is better. WWB</font>

If CM creators plan to change game aspects (optics, armor) and need help sure i'll be glad to. But noe a P IId has good optics and from my sorces Till 1939 wermacht has received 143 tanks of updatings D and Е.So if you tale t-34/85 (43) or SU/ISU -152 only by logics they must have equal optics to P II.

Spook i never sayd that all Soviet forses there equal to german in combat expirience,yes they suffered grate losses, they desperatly needed men, casualties were inormous.But they had their elite too, by the begining and with continuing of war their numbers started to grow. Reason: even in late years of war in scenarious if you encounter KT it'll be at least regular.But elite crews would not abbandon their tank just because Soviet attack started, russians encounted many abandont Panther (i don't believe it that they broke and crews desided not to take chance), with field doc. on it. And what i see for soviets ...(except for some scenarious/battles) if they get a regular or veteran tank (1 of 4)it's grate.

There did they search? on yahoo? It doesn't take too much to contack experts in Russia thought inet (www.armor.kiev.ua for excample),they can provide with that information (there are alot of other places and people who know about whose thing just because it is their jobs).It couldn't be SHORT. Do you guys really believe that russian did'n have veteran soldiers/crews/pilots by the begginig of war? (by mid/late there were plenty)Germans fought in Europe before attacking Soviet Union right:D ? They got their expirience, and what russian slept this time? What do you know about "Халхин-Гол"? Another thing that german attack was perfectly planed and prepared, and german e..e..e spec.forces have arrived before the attack descised and cut off communications or just "took out" russian officers (in many places).In Ukraine was a pro-fashist community, whitch members with the beggining of Barbarrosa simply attacked soviet officers in cities.
