  1. July 7, 1940: - An allied task force destroys 2 italian corps transports outside Algier - another italian transport under air bombardement near Alexandria - Brest still allied held...but under attack
  2. June 9, 1940: - the str 1 army attacks and even survives it again...it must have a guardian angel or something like that - but an understrength tank west of Paris has not so much luck and gets killed by superior allied forces - Since last turn Paris entrenchment had been reduced and the army is damaged from attacking the tank, it should fall next axis turn - Ireland surrenders
  3. May 12, 1940: -Italy joins -german army survives a counterattack at str 1, - it seems the german front units in the south are not HQ supported, probably Germany has no third HQ since they invested so much in air. This would explain the slow advance after Germany was already only 2 hexes away from Paris in turn 5 .
  4. April 14, 1940: - German forces only 2 hexes away from Paris - Allied forces left Maginot - last sub sunk some turns ago - french units evacuating to England every turn from Brest...
  5. - Sub is still alive at str 1 - the already damaged german corps in the first Bloodhex survives 5 allied attacks...
  6. - Both subs found, one destroyed, the other reduced to str 3. - German corps killed SW of Brussel
  7. Allied turn 2: - Ireland attacked in the first turn - LC conquered by Axis, no corps SW of Brussel. French forces attack the tank south of Brussel but it survives at str 2 - Warsaw still allied, protected by 3 polish corps. Koenigsberg cut off - 1st sub in the Atlantic found and reduced to str 1 by 3 french ships
  8. I hope - and think - you will find it again Some training and you will not make such rookie mistakes any more like building bombers or attacking the allied ships . This delayed France a lot and made it possible for the french navy to enter the german waters and help in Sweden. It was a good game with a different and seldomly used strategy . When you don´t trust in luck so much and provide the necessary units instead, I am sure it can work .
  9. May 12, 1940: Yep, this time not the same luck like at Norway German air is attacking french ships - 4 of them have entered the Baltic bombarding the landed armies in Sweden and the bomber in Kopenhagen. One of the cut off Armies should be killed next turn (reduced to str 2 this turn). In France a german corps gets killed, but Germany now occupies two hexes in France (Bloodhex + Ardennes).
  10. April 14, 1940: Germany placed at least 2 AFs + 1 bomber near Denmark, so the transport got sunk and the cruiser escaped to a homeport. Bomber in Kopenhagen attacked by french cruiser and battleship groups. Trench warfare in France - only 2 german AFs in action at this front (germany owns 5 AFs + 1 bomber).
  11. Germany concentrates on the naval battle - no advances in France. German cruiser and a sub destroyed. The last cruiser flees towards Denmark followed by french battleships and reduced to str. 1. A UK corps transport blocks the way back through the Denmark strait. A german airfleet in Norway spotted, transport losses expected...
  12. The german commander trusts in luck...only 1 airfleet was ready for Norway, despite this he attacked and even was successful. Naval battles outside LC - german cruisers heavily damaged, french battleships arrived. 2nd sub in the Atlantic sunk. German army enters first bloodhex.
  13. Rambo: It was the LC forest, not the french one... Still no german unit in France. And Germany makes a nice present to Allies and attacks a UK battleship with its airfleets - so they will need one turn longer in France now . In the meantime one sub is sunk, only a french cruiser got slightly damaged - searching for the second one. It is hiding very good....
  14. Since Germany breaks through in the south of Poland in the first turn, polish forces retreat and are hiding in the east as well as cutting of Koenigsberg.
  15. Apri 28, 1940: Allies again counterattack with everything and don´t evacuate their UK units. Paris fell after attacks from 4 sides - all UK units trapped in France. Condor surrenders. We restart with changed sides.
  16. March 3, 1940: Allies continue going the risky path attacking everything and even don´t reinforce Paris. When 2 german units enter the vicinity they have to see the same str 5 corps in it like 2 turns before - If Axis had known this and used another attack sequence, Paris would be history now...
  17. Allies go at full risk and attack with every unit - they even leave Maginot to attack a german airfleet sitting in the Rhine... Since only a str 3 corps was protecting Paris with an unentrenched corps str 5 in it this was very risky - with some luck I even could have conquered France when I had tried...But instead I choose the safe way and take the Ardennes + french mine and Munich.
  18. Axis turn 5: Billote is not any more...Allies try a counterattack but have to pay a heavy price for it: French Army destroyed, a german tank moves deep into France close to Paris - so Italy joins next turn (was at 91%). The tank will be lost (together with a weak corps) - but that´s worth the early war entry of Italy. In the process France also lost his HQ Billote that was standing too close at the frontline.
  19. Axis turn 4: First Bloodhex taken... french HQ spotted... Munich under attack...polish task force operated west...subs damaged 2 french cruiser before they were sunk.
  20. - no breakthrough in Poland during the first turn, but doesn´t matter: Poland surrenders turn 3, LC turn 2 and Denmark together with Poland turn 3. - Ireland under attack - Condor operated the polish AF to London for one intercept (40 mpps operating costs for 40 mpps average damage for the german AF) - french forces entered germany and captured Munich in turn 2, they are now under attack from the surplus german ground units that they don´t need in LC anyway. - subs in the Atlantic found, but a UK battleship is on the bottom...subs will not survive very long any more
  21. And the fight already started... AAR: http://www.battlefront.com/discuss/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=003809
  22. It is August 1941....Axis preparing to unleash a storm about Russia... Spain surrendered 3 turns after the invasion started - they fought one turn without capital. In May 1941 Yugoslavia couped and got converted immediately. Egypt fell a long time ago. This turn USA joined Allies. Russian readiness: 69%. After our TCP session for the middle part we are now back at the PBEM path .
  23. In October 1940 Glorious and Valiant attack the empty city of Bergen - intercepted by german air. In the next turn the carrier got killed (Courageous intercepting, no damage for the german air...) and Valiant damaged by german air and naval attacks. Egypt under siege - Suez will fall next turn, Alexandria 2-3 turns later. November 1940: Romania and Hungary join Axis. Time for the spanish campaign .
  24. Allies operate an AF to Malta - very expensive mistake...80mpps operating costs and it lost 6 str points vs 1 str for the german air in Sicily in the following battle until it operated back in safety. Bordeaux, Malta and Brest occupied, Warspite Battleshipgroup bombards the corps in Brest and gets reduced to str 2 by some german airfleets in the counterattack. July 21: Norway converted August 11: Vichy conquered, Sweden under attack. August 25: Sweden surrenders
  25. June 16, 1940: France surrenders after last suicide attacks of the remaining french forces to do some last damage. UK units operated to Brest and Bordeaux - only one has to stay, cut of north of Paris. Malta is empty and will be occupied next turn.
